Don't forget to manually change "Frame End" under cache to 250 for the initial smoke bake. I'm using Blender 2.8- and it did not automatically change this even after adding key frames so my bake stopped at 50 since that's the default. Maybe this was mentioned in the video and I missed it but just wanted to throw it out there since I was having trouble! Thanks!

As with Blender I use my camera locked onto an Empty in Default which helps. Using the DOF for your work makes them look Fantastic. I think I'll edit my smoke as to how you created it but leaving my background etc as is. Plain flat looks like a coloured waffle LOL. If mine doesn't work out you know i'll deffo be doing this step by step. I know I gone wrong with the smoke and particles I tried using Molecular lol. Made Ico's smaller but that's about it. Least I'm trying which is the main thing. Learning so much from you. I really appreciate your time and work.

Hey Aria, wow that's next level modeling, definitely going to try this one. Looking at the final product it wouldn't take much tweaking to get a really cool hologram affect going.
Looking back over your tutorials, your technique is really good for beginners without resorting to the "Doughnut", which I suppose raises the question, " when you started your youtube channel was it with the view that you were going to demonstrate that high end simulations are not just for experienced "blenderers" but for beginners also ?"

@@AriaFaithJones The particle system is disappearing during the render then when I go back to replay the animation it's gone completely, but if I reopen the blend file it will play. Any tips and thanks again!

This tutorial is just amazing. I got final render image properly . but when i tried rendering the animation the particles are not following the shape of the fluid inspite of showing the correct animation in the viewport....wht settings should i change....please help....
@11.58 How you are having (just pixels and colors to particles) and no background at all even after enabling render view with HDR loaded?

Thank you for another great tutorial. It's probably me, but for some reason my smoke and particles only go up about an inch or so and don't have that pluming effect that yours does. I tried it twice even deleting the default cube. It's become habit to apply scale. Maybe that's my problem. I'm going to try again. Practice makes perfect. Ty

IN render only particles are visible not smoke. Any solution?

Thank you for yout tutorials! I'm trying to follow the tutorial, but I have one problem... on 7:57 if I start play the particles don'r seat on emitter body, all of the, are flying away. Maybe someone can help me and tell, where the problem can be? Many many thanks in advance.
On the domain cache type. Before you select all. Select replay from the drop down, even though it shows replay aready. It resets the cache. Should fix it for you.
@@mattpallotta thank you! but the probleme is still here :( starting from frame 121 particles are flying away... like explosion. And they are not sitting tightly on emitter from the beginning. I'll try one more time to make everything from the beginning (already the forth one).
