Yes. I love it. When Roy Thomas starts writing the stories are not quite as good as Stan's but they are well told. Roy Thomas starts as an slightly above average writer back in 1968 but by 1970 he was a superb writer.
@@afroscifizianzcomix7836 yeah I’m almost to the Roy Thomas era I’m curious to see what I think of his stuff compared to Stan’s. I have enjoyed books I’ve read from him in the past so excited to check it out
thanks to Marvel Triple Action I read silver and bronze age Avengers simultaneously back in the 70s.The Kooky Quartet issues are some of my favorite comic stories! Watching you flip through the pages was cool; I had forgotten how many different characters made appearances in these issues: The FF, the Circus of Crime, The Beetle, Spidey, etc).
This has fast become one of my favorite silver age titles 👏 I probably still give the edge to Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four for personal preference but wow this is up there for me! I’m also thoroughly Enjoying the volume 2 omnibus as well
Recently bought the reprints of all 5 Avengers Omnis. The first Avengers story I bought as a kid was issue #20 ("Enter: Dr. Doom"). Then I bought sporadic issues as the mood hit me. Thus far, I've read the first volume but decided to read the rest out of sequence (reminiscent of my childhood). It's kind of interesting that many collectors today are unaware of the George R.R. Martin letter. (Avengers #12). Actually, looking forward to your review of volumes 2 thru 5 though I already own them. Just FYI: All 5 Volumes were very affordable (discounted) last I checked.
Thank you so much for watching! Glad to find more avengers fans :) Happily in volume two now! Excited to make my way through, will be reviewing upon completion of these subsequent volumes 💪📚 Favorite Avengers character(s)?
any time you or comic boook trove recommend silver age stuff, im like man i want to read this but get immediately mentally checked out due to the heavy and dated dialogue 😅
Comic Book Trove has excellent stuff! Love that channel! 💯 This was one of my favorite silver age titles but still a bit dated. I think I mentioned it in the video but I felt like the ensemble cast in this title actually helped the pacing feel a bit swifter. I’m reading volume 2 now and still having fun with it :)
Have you read the Silver Age Avengers? 📚🤔
