7th gen is better but I'd recommend you get a ryzen 2500u laptop or 2700u laptop since they've gotten cheaper plus they don't require GPU and GTA 5 will definitely be playable
Hello, I was wondering between two laptops, they are quite similar, one has this Ryzen 5300U and the other an i3-1215U, which one do you recommend? For general purpose, casual gaming and programming.

Why not run lower settings for better fps some optimization outside of Overwatch might give more frames and better smoothness as well

Ryzen 3 7320U
and 8gb ddr5
256gb ssd
would this be enough for some light games and maybe apex legends
As a travel laptop, it is quite good, but I don't think the radeon 610m iGPU is quite powerful enough to run Apex Legends. Some lighter games that came out prior to 2015 might be surprisingly playable, though.
