I really respect the time and effort you put into all of your walkthroughs. All the thorough testing, off screen runs, and footage editing must take dozens of hours.
In my games ... the release of LEGENDARY WEAPONS is unlocked by completing MAIN QUEST in Dahl Headland where you save Lucky. I have legendary in giftshop al level 16. Seems not level sensible.
Those Hornets and Defilers will probably make mincemeat out of the Knoxx DLC...and the Equalizers will keep you supplied. Hope we can see some test footage soon!
It's good you realized you have to get to the Dahl Headlands and activate the Fast Travel mission. I used a level 69 character in split screen to get a new character to this point by level 14. The level range of legendaries I found were from 16-25 and only a couple at 16 so it seems like the lowest level possible. I'm going to try to get lower ones but it's not likely
one of the best class mods i found for my siren from the hyperion gift shop (unfortunately only at level 55; i'm level 69) is a mercenary one with +60% SMG damage and +26 ammo regen
I play Siren usually and I love that mercenary class mod with ammo regen. Works really well with a malevolent bruiser with a high fire rate and big magazine...
Fantastic info! For me, at level 20. my level was greater than my mission levels as I did side missions. I found that at levels 20-22, no legendaries appeared until I acquired level 20 missions even though I did several story missions while leveling up. Since then, the Orange harvest has been bountiful.
Came to the exact same conclusion last night when testing a new character. Got to level 20 and still no legendaries. Leveled up to 21 and completed a main mission, still no legendaries. Up to 22, completed another main mission, same thing. Then I reloaded the character I used for testing this video and closely compared the two characters and realized my level 20 test video character had entered the Dahl Headland, completed the Getting Lucky mission and had taken on the Powering The Fast Travel Network mission which is the first main mission rated at level 20. So I went back to my new lvl 22 test character and took him into the Dahl Headland, completed the Getting Lucky mission, took on Powering The Fast Travel Network and, without even leveling up to level 23, went back to the Gift Shop and boom! LEGENDARIES + Eridian weapons and items over my current level. So it looks like the exact Gift Shop Legendary trigger line is taking on the Powering The Fast Travel Network mission. Don't have to complete it. Just take it on. :)
@@MajorSlackVideos This is why I love your channels. Not only are you brilliant, you are so conscientious - a very rare combination to be found today (especially on youtube). And I almost forgot to add that you always add excellent entertainment - you are just the best!!!
Thanks, @@MajorSlackVideos I'm level 22 and getting level 13 mostly, with an occasional 18 weapons. No legendries. I tried to follow Major Slack's walkthrough but I was level 11 when I started playing this dlc. First enemies in the dump were level 13 to 15. No amounts of critical hits with the beginning sniper rifle had an effect. Went back to firestone and leveled up to 15. Game leveling has been messed up. I'll try the Get Lucky mission, etc. (as soon as I figure out what that is).
I played normal GOTY version, so i noticed some differences: 1) All chests are red in old version of the game 2) Chance to spawn legendaries is MUCH less, even with +find rare item class mod.

What I see in there are weapons 10 to 20 levels below my current level of 56. I MIGHT get ONE that I'll keep, which will be the same as another but a little better. Nothing big or worth getting excited over...NEVER.
You're probably on playthrough 1, where the cheats cap out around level 35. You have to get there on playthrough 2 and then they'll level up with you, maxing out at 68.
@Phil Brown, are you seeing any Eridian weapons or items above level 52? Also, I'm presuming you're on Playthrough 2. Did you complete the main story (defeated the Destroyer) before starting the Claptrap DLC?
MajorSlackVideos I'm on PT 2 and I see 7-9 eridian weapons every time I go to the "basement", which to me, are useless. That and pistols, that aren't as Useless but I don't care for them. And I can't find enough assault weapons that have big magazines and a high fire rate. As for the weapons level, most all are in the 40s. None in the 50s. On PT 1, all I have left is Crawmerax, which is level 61, so yes, I've beat the Destroyer. It's all very frustrating. Thanks for replying Major.
@@philbrown9764 Are you playing on the enhanced version of BL1? It's loot quality got heavily improved on the enhanced version compared to the original BL1 game
At max level this room gives a lot and I mean a freaking lot of legendarys, like 4 in one chest 3 in other is super buff on the remastered,on the other hand knoxx dlc is stingy as fuck with pearlesents,I know they are, supposed to be extremely rare, but come on!!! I'm yet to get a drop from crawmerax, and farming the armory is excruciating😑😑😑 my only pearl is from there but damn ,saying that pearlesent weapons are rare is an understatement,

I was drooling over that one too. :)
@@MajorSlackVideos hehe, well thats one weapon im pretty sure you're keeping in the next Borderlands project/DLC.
I like the stats on that Blast Hammer legendary shottie around the 12 minute mark.
I can see it now, "clean up in Major Slacks office!" "Please bring all available mops asap!" lol. Great job as always boss, Thumbs UP! :)

Well well. Thank you Hyperion for providing us access to this treasure room. Legendaries galore! Me likes! :D

Same 4 me. Multiples at 16, 1 anaconda, ravens, equelizers and buldogs. Trying to seen if i can find a level 16 Hellfire
Lucky 13 for Slack. Seriously lucky to get that many legendaries on the 13th run
That Defiller looked good :)

It worked to continue missions as suggested!! Now getting legendries and weapons up to level 25. So glad I found this conversation.

I have it on ps3 and pc so I have the old and new and in my opinion it might be rng but it was wayyyy overpowered even before the buff
I just started playing borderlands 2 handsome edition, first time playing borderlands. Are you going to fo a walkthrough there anytime soon?
Slack statistically you will get a Quad Spawn if you keep farming for it. Not sure how long it'll take, but you'll get it.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. :)
I get all of the legendary weapons, however I never get weapons leveled above my level. I have been in there many, many, times.
Good info!
I still don't get what makes a legendary weapon from a regular weapon? Is it the elemental damage or something else?
Ha! Take that, loot officer!😁
Would need a few moist towelettes if I hit 7 legendary in a run...
HX440C Hellfire.....AWESOME!
Can you turn in the quest or no?
Yes

U need to progres the story line up to "Getting Lucky" i believe. before that finding legendaries is hard
I'm at level 52 and haven't seen ONE yet!!!
delete system32. that'll fix it.
