Thank you. We are due to fly on the 2nd Sep..I've been so worried for days about the ecoli......it said beach in Los pocolis had been closed for days! Looking on live Web cam the beach looks deserted no one on sunbeds... thank you for news I'm a little bit more relaxed listening to you x

Thank you for making these very informative videos. I visit Lanz. frequently and stay with an elderly lady who resides in Tias. She now has difficulty with her shopping. Do you know if there is any charity on the island that could help her...I realise that the supermarkets deliver, but she wants to be able to visit the stores personally to choose the best foods and deals on the day! Many thanks in anticipation.
Hi Geoff. We can’t think of a charity that could do that, but there is a company that may be able to help her. www.homecareserviceslanzarote.com/starlight-care-services.php
Hi Mike, great update as usual. One question regarding the EES gates & non EU (UK) passengers. You mentioned that after 10th November we will have your fingerprints scanned. What is the purpose of the fingerprint scan. Our passports are biometric and I understand having your face scanned but not fingerprints. We don't have fingerprint scans on our passports therefore the purpose would seem mute. Please advise.
Fingerprints are a much more accurate way of ensuring people are who they say they are. It’s why the United States, for example has been taking visitor’s finger prints for many years.
Is there any news on allowing second home owners (not rental homes) in Spain being granted Schengen exemption? I know Spain & France were talking about it.
@@PaulioMaldinio Got me in a lot of trouble on one occasion. This one time, I came back Lanzarote - Malaga - Paris, then a Flixbus via Calais and the ferry home. Well, at Calais, the border guard women flipped out. I was almost arrested for illegal entry into the EU. Next time to Lanzarote, I asked for a stamp, and was refused. Maybe EES will stop this of nonsense, but it wont effect me. Im not giving up my fingerprints to the EU, just to go on vacation. I just wont go. Doesn’t bother me. It will just encourage me to explore other countries outside the EU box. My tourist money is good, in Serbia, Montenegro, UAE, Georgia, and so many other places. The Lanzarote economy is going to take a 10% hit next year, and a 20% hit the following year. And the EU could not care less.

No news, and I’m not aware of any moves currently to change the rules for people from outside the EU who own properties within it.
Another fabulous video Mike
Been there five times in the last two years. Still have no stamps in my passport…..
I never had mine stamped either...
