Very satisfying when you manage to chain a few bonuses on a turn. This has been a hit with everyone I’ve shown, and the other three in the series feel different enough to not feel formulaic (Clever 4ever is my own personal favourite). Enjoyable play through and review - thanks.
Thank you for the play through. You helped me see that those higher scores are achievable! One question on the rules...at 19:19 you say "I can't use the +1 in the passive phase", but I believe you can. There is a thread on BGG about this and apparently, the German to English translation was confusing. The designer confirmed that a +1 die action is permitted in the passive phase (but re-rolls are not permitted in the passive phase). In your game, this didn't much matter because you still found a way to use the +1 die actions to your advantage and do well!
That was a fun game. I like games that are simple in a idea yet complex enough to make you work your mind through a puzzle. I know its abstract but I was attaching different themes in my mind. I can definitely see that as well. Thank you for sharing.
Me too! It's got a very addicting style and plays so quick it's very easy to get a couple of plays in one after another. Interesting I'd not actually ever thought about how themes could attach to it...I'd be interested to know what sort of things you were thinking! Thank you for watching 😁
@@bluedogboardgames My mind is always racing. I could see a Fantasy theme that your different colors were rooms. The dice could represent different classes. Mage, Healer, Fighter, Knight. Ultimately your looking for treasure, defeating the hoards of monsters and making your way into the dragons den to defeat him and take their treasure. Then the other theme I saw was searching for Princess Leia on the death star. She is in one of detention rooms. You have to reach certain points to unlock the room that she is in. All the while stormtroopers are trying to stop you. I can see many things. Lol.
Roll and writes are some of my go-to games when I'm tired and can't be bothered for much else. Which of these Clever games is your favourite? I'd like to try more
@@bluedogboardgames i kind of like them all the same because each one has something different to do. hard to say which one is better. i just got back from camping and took the first one, also played Herbaceous, dice miner, expeditions and a roll/flip and write i made up about food truck. sat on the picnic table while the camp fire was going and just played games! good times.
This is a fast and fun game. I have twice as cleaver. Similar with a couple of different actions. Fun little strategi game to tey amd figure out how to get your score up

Absolutely it is! Really enjoy playing this one back to back to get those higher scores 😁 I must try out some of the others. Thank you for the watch 🥰

my copy (Baltic) says +1 can be used after the active player has chosen the dice (3) _and_ after the passive player has chosen the die (1).
