I mount my 360 below the drone. Just need to launch from a big jar that is clear so it had the right exposure. I think it is better to view the ground below the drone.
I did the same thing but hung off the bottom of the drone. I like it but I really wish the X4 had better fidelity. Its just not good enough, yet. Hopefully next generation OR the Theta Z2 (whenever that comes out)
What is your workflow with the insta360 footage? It looks great, even in the low light. I'm having trouble getting my 5.7k X3 to look anywhere near as crisp in even better lighting conditions. Would love to know your basic process.

i just take the footage from the sd card and use the insts360 studio to move the footage around. That's it
