  • Bigger than it looks, St Keverne is one of these villages away from the golden sand beaches of the north coast of Cornwall, which is increasingly being discovered by visitors. Located eight miles out from Helston on the Lizard Peninsula, St Keverne is located a few miles away from what villagers said were the last 'secret beaches' of Cornwall - Porthallow and Porthoustock, where only locals used to go.
But Covid hit and now those so-called locals' beaches are very much on the tourism map. Yet, despite an increase in the number of visitors to the area, attracted by its rural idyllic beauty, its hard-to-access forgotten beaches and plenty of amazing coast path walks to enjoy and little fishing villages to discover, St Keverne has retained its village-life feel - something its residents are very proud of.
