    I think the Bible is crystal clear that baptism is for the forgiveness of sins and the receiving of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

    It’s funny that Doug Wilson is doing blog and Mablog videos on baptism, while Dr. White is doing sermons on baptism, all the while, their debate is looming. Lol

    Exodos 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

      The comment section brings out the flesh of men from I can tell lol. I’d like to see churches actually paying attention to what their congregation says on social media

    Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water when they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage?
    Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
    Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
    Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
    Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
    Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

    The anabaptists were the only TRUE reformers. The RCC and “reformed” hero’s executed them for their bravery and courage to stand for the truth.

      You might want to look into an event known as the münster rebellion. The anabaptists did a wonderful job at killing their own movement

    Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
    Matthew 11:28 KJV
    Jesus lives
    Jesus Christ is Lord
    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    Romans 3:23 KJV
    Jesus loves you repent
    You're a sinner in need of a Savior
    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    Romans 10:9-10 KJV

      There are 16 videos in this sermon series on baptism. As you can see from the title, this particular sermon pertains to church history. Look at his other sermons in this series; there is plenty of Bible, my friend. Each title does reflect what is contained in each talk.

      @@rachaelmckeeth6811you can’t expect intellectual honesty from a new-ifb guy… They still believe in the trail of blood, rather relying on gnostic groups than propper scholarship on the existing sources.

    The thrice baptism is interesting given that in Matthew 28:19, ὄνομα (name) is singular! One name, three persons.
