I only have one Lanvin perfume called Oxygene... It was an acquired taste that became one of my main comforting, bedtime scents. I think it’s considered an aquatic but to my nose it’s like a warm cup of spiced milk... It’s very lactonic/milky and one of my most unusual/unique scents.
I have eclat de Fleurs and I love it! Very nice in spring but I love it even in winter 😊 Eclat d’arperge is too generic for me, a bit boring. Jeanne... I don’t know if I like it cause it’s too soft, no sillage whatsoever 😞 Marry me is in the first minute Donna from Trussardi on me. Then it turns exactly into Quatre by Boucheron, not a fan. A girl in Capri is oke but it reminds me a lot of Moschino Funny, which I like more. Oxygene is a no for me, very awkward scent, not light and airy as I was expecting. Rumeur 2 rose is on it’s way too me 🎉 Never smelled it before so I’m very curious. Love to try eclat de nuit and the modern princesses 🥰 Thanks for this video 👍🏻
I was so excited for Marry Me as well. I am a biggest fan of delicate scents, but something smells wrong and foul about it. I ended up hating it. If you want to buy it online, I HIGHLY recommend smelling it first in the store.

Received a sample of the Jeanne Lanvin, and I was so surprised at how beautiful it was. It's so inexpensive! I swiped some on my wrist before bed and when I woke up, it's still there! I think I know what I'm picking up next 👀

I’ve just started wearing one that had set on my dresser for years untouched, and It’s totally different from what I usually wear, but I’m starting to love Oxygene. it’s so clean and fresh, it’s become my go to after the shower before bed fragrance, & it layers really well.
OMG FINALLY someone who talks about modern princess AND knows eau so sexy!!!!!!!! Seriously when I first smelt MP I was BLOWN away by how Identical it was to eau so seΩyyy! Love that you picked up on that!!
Hi Sarah, I wanted to let you know that I found 2 very inexpensive fragrances at Marshall's on yesterday. They're both from Tru Fragrance. The 1st one was Coco Dulce, EDP 1.7fl oz for $8.99. The next one was Rose Quartz, EDP 3.4fl oz for $12.99. They're both beautiful!

I was gifted with that Jeanne Lanvin perfume and I cant believe how that perfume can last long. Even after a few days, when I'm about to do my laundry, I can still smell that perfume on my clothes.
I once got "Marry Me" from my mum as a gift years ago and it's been my favourite perfume ever since. This scent seems to be a perfect match with my skin since it's also the only perfume I get compliments even from strangers. The only negative about it is that it's hard to get outside of airports and it's hard to find something similar. Thank you for showing some love for this brand!
I love Marry Me! It’s such a beautiful floral. I am sorry that it has gotten difficult to find. There are a couple of niche scents that are very similar but kind of expensive. Orlov Paris Orlov and Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique. ❤️🥰

Give it a try if you come across it. I couldn't begin to describe perfume the way you do- all I know is this is a standout-at least to me. By the way, I watched your video about perfume for your astrological sign and picked up "Mia's Blend". Love it! One of my most recent buys is "Cherry Delight" from Be Layered. It is unbelievable.

Lanvin Perfumes are very hard to find in South Africa. First experienced Eclat de Arpege when my uncle got it as a gift for my mom in Brussels. I have Eclat de Fleurs, Eclat de Nuit and Rumeur 2 Rose. I usually layer Eclat de Fleurs and R2R. Eclat De Fleurs reminds me of the Rochas Madamoiselle EDT
It is pity that you dont like Modern princess sensuelle. I didnt pay much attention to it, but i tried it yesterday and i like it very much. It is such a cosy, powdery, clean scent. I had to order it for my mum. Original princess reminds me of disscontinued see by chloe but I am not a big fan of apple note.
I wouldn't say all Lanvin fragrances are generic, Try Lanvin Oxygene, it's outstanding and like nothing I've ever tried before, and lasting power is amazing as is sillage. I own a few Lanvin and I agree Modern Princess is a pretty fragrance and then totally at the opposite end of the scale is Lanvin ME, dark, mysterious and sultry. Lanvin certainly make very interesting fragrances, but certainly not generic x🙂
Sarah, I just had to share this with you. FragranceX has at least a dozen different 4711 fragrances. They have the Nouveau, Remix, Lilac, Rosa and on and on! My son buys from them is how I got the info. It is discounted and have a 15% coupon. Hope you don’t mind posting it here😊
I recently got Lavin- A Girl in Capri. You're right that it is a lemon scent (similar to D&G light blue intense, CK One Summer 2020) and that the lasting power isn't the greatest. I may layer it with D&G Light Blue Intense or another lemon scent 🤷🏾♀️. I am a sucker for spring/summer scents that aren't all citrus tho (if it has lasting power= bonus)

Lanvins are so pretty and feminine! Have you tried the La Rive dupe for one of the Arpege flankers? It is a similar light lilac colour and the scent is so nice. It is called Wave of Love.
Thanks for this. Lanvin’s scents are so underrated. I have 4, but two you didn’t review: Rumeur and Rumeur 2 Rose. The nose begin Rumeur was MFK. This is not an “easy” scent like the others. Bold, strong projection, floral; the magnolia May translate slightly old-fashioned to some. I have the original flanker from 2006. I did not like it at 26. At 41, I think it is quite special. It lasts like crazy on clothes. Rumeur 2 Rose has nothing in common with the original, but it is nice. Light and fruity. I mix it with arpege fleurs. I’m intrigued by Girl in Capri. Your description reminds me of Delicious Delights take on D & G Light Blue Italian Zest-which I was interested in. I’m going with Lanvin instead. Have you smelled the D & G Italian Zest? 😊
Hi there!! I do have Italian Zest and I love it. It has a creaminess to it that GIC doesn’t have but they are very similar. They perform about the same as well. I will have to pick up the Rumeur fragrances some time. ❤️
Looking forward to giving some of these Lanvin fragrances a try! Sarah, do you have any recommendations about what to do when you don't love a fragrance off the bat? I have a couple fragrances that other people seem to love and the notes *should* work for me, but they just aren't great to me. How much time do you spend trying to layer fragrances you are on the fence about, trying them in different weather, etc. before you know they just aren't for you and pass them along? There are so many fragrances out there to love that I don’t want to spend time trying to a make something work that I know just won’t. Sometimes fragrances will grow on me though so it’s a hard call. ❤️
I don’t think I have a good one for cold weather but I have heard Rumeur and Rumeur II are lovely. They may be more appropriate for cold weather. That or the original Arpege? ❤️

Not really. I he Lanvin one is much more lemon forward and it doesn’t have that signature D&G Light Blue smell. It’s just a really fresh, citrusy perfume. ❤️
I purchased arpege the original via overstock.com & it must have a civit note that had gone off because the perfume smelled straight up like poopie diapers

The nose begin Rumeur was MFK. This is not an “easy” scent like the others. Bold, strong projection, floral; the magnolia May translate slightly old-fashioned to some.
I have the original flanker from 2006. I did not like it at 26. At 41, I think it is quite special. It lasts like crazy on clothes.
Rumeur 2 Rose has nothing in common with the original, but it is nice. Light and fruity. I mix it with arpege fleurs.
I’m intrigued by Girl in Capri. Your description reminds me of Delicious Delights take on D & G Light Blue Italian Zest-which I was interested in. I’m going with Lanvin instead.

Hi there!! I do have Italian Zest and I love it. It has a creaminess to it that GIC doesn’t have but they are very similar. They perform about the same as well. I will have to pick up the Rumeur fragrances some time. ❤️

I love them both but I think I would go for LBIZ only because it has that creaminess that I love. ❤️

Sarah, do you have any recommendations about what to do when you don't love a fragrance off the bat? I have a couple fragrances that other people seem to love and the notes *should* work for me, but they just aren't great to me. How much time do you spend trying to layer fragrances you are on the fence about, trying them in different weather, etc. before you know they just aren't for you and pass them along? Thank you for any insights you can provide, and thank you for your videos :-)
Hi there!! If it’s something that I know I just don’t like or it’s not working on my skin I usually just resell it ASAP. There are so many fragrances out there to love that I don’t want to spend time trying to a make something work that I know just won’t. Sometimes fragrances will grow on me though so it’s a hard call. ❤️

I don’t think I have a good one for cold weather but I have heard Rumeur and Rumeur II are lovely. They may be more appropriate for cold weather. That or the original Arpege? ❤️

Not really. I he Lanvin one is much more lemon forward and it doesn’t have that signature D&G Light Blue smell. It’s just a really fresh, citrusy perfume. ❤️
I purchased arpege the original via overstock.com & it must have a civit note that had gone off because the perfume smelled straight up like poopie diapers
