its gonna turn into an aoutomation game like satisfactory and factoria if you add belts
you will need MORE base peicies to deel with belts like:
      belt hallways
      upward conver belt
      wall belt hole
      floor belt hole
      spliters
a compartment that can make items enter a machine outomaticly
more physics data that may cause lag when you walk on cover belts
      deposits input
      depoisit out put
if you want supplies into your veichle you will need:
      veichle depo port for parking
      problem:atlas and the cyclops
veichle out door belt wall atachment
and every thing from above with out belt hall ways
problem:will causes majoure delays by another 12 or more month and you will need to increase the atlas and cyclops size to fit complex belt contraptions
and REALY REALY REALY REALY huge bugs in the game
sorry aci no conver belts in subnautica😔

I have something connected to the "expanded Building System", but is not a direct relation. I would like to see the next Subnautica Title to be based around (imagine a drumroll here) a Base! A bit like the First was based around the Aurora, i would like us to have to deal with an (likely old) abondened and (very) decrepit Base, that we, over the course of the Story, work on repairing, and upgrading, where we also have stuff you mentioned, like Drydocks

If they do add the Ice dragon leviathan, they should get creative. Like, add a cave, and the deeper you go, instead of the temperature of the water rising, it gets colder to the point where you are in a literal ice cave. If the setting is tropical, this could actually make a good fit.

As a base builder myself I would love to see more base parts! The 90 degree parts would be huge on their own and with sloped corridors we could really get some next generation designs!
Also because I don’t see anyone talking about this, one major thing I always wanted was a greenhouse. I know we have the big grow beds but I mean something super nice and atmosphere like a mix of Marguerite’s in zero sector. Practically speaking it probably wouldn’t be a separate structure but a module for the multipurpose room kinda like the large aquarium or reactors.
Other than that, one feature that everyone seems to either hate or forget about is pipes. I for one love the pipes in Subnautica, but I think they need a rework. They should be able to snap into certain angles like straight up or down, left and right. Also more functionality. You should be able to run pipes from the surface to the base for air. I was surprised that the base attached air pump would not connect with the air pump at the surface. I think it would be cool to have a system like that so even if the base loses power you still have air. It could even work with a control room that would allow the base when flooded to pump water out the pipes. Maybe even make it so plants in exterior grow-beds will grow faster if a pipe is giving them some air. (Idk the science maybe they need the nutrients form oxygen)
on the topic of pipes, a flexible hose like pipe would be really cool. Kinda like a an umbilical cord that the NASA astronauts use on the ISS but built on your seabase. It could be functional too because when I am building it’s annoying to have to break my workflow to go climb in and out of the hatch every minute and a half.
One last wild but awesome idea I just came up with: why are our robot docking arms using using suction cups to grab the vehicles in the moon pools and cyclops? I’m just saying, piloting a submarine into a room that zaps it into docking position with a giant propulsion cannon arm would be awesome as hell.

9:44 The Original Subnautica story and the Original Below Zero story are better than the Below Zero story we got imo.
Like, the Original storyline for Below Zero was a nice and welcome change of pace from being isolated like in the original Subnautica. Our character talked, we had some living characters that we interacted with in some ways, and we had intrigue that wasn't "Corporate Espionage" and "Altera Bad, Maybe?" I really wish we got the original storyline since that felt far more interesting than what we got.

I would really like to have more Vehicle Upgrades, like new modules and Gadgets. For Example: In the first Subnautica, I redirected my base from the Kelp-Forest / Grassy Plateaus (The ones near the safe shallows) to the inactive Lavazone to get easier access to the world connecting Precursor-Portals in the Primary-Containment-Facility. So I had to move 3 Seamoths (That I stored in the lost river), 6 P.R.A.W.N. suits and two Cyclopses down there past multiple Ghost Leviathans and Sea Dragons AND I had to deconstruct my old base Part by Part to slowly move it down in my freighter-Cyclops. I had to take 17 tours to take everything down there.
So my Idea would be to give us an attachable cable to hook all of my vehicles to one (That would mean that the P.R.A.W.N. suit would need a little floating Docking Station like in Below Zero). The Lead-Vehicle must be a Cyclops of course. And then some of the modules (Like the shield) would apply to all the linked vehicles (Excluding the Depth-Module of the Cyclops and P.R.A.W.N. suit on the seamoth of course). And all the docked vehicles would charge the Cyclops, so that it would have more energy to carry everything. And the cables would bend in curves and if you dive down / turn up (Unlike the Seatruck).
That would also allow you for more Storage (Imagine two Cyclopses being carried by one with all the upgrades (Like Sonar, Hull Reinforcements, Thermal Charger, Energy efficiency,...) and essentials and the other two were filled to the limit with Lockers and Walllockers. Each could also carry one P.R.A.W.N suit with four Storage Modules for maximum capacity).
But this is only my Idea and some of you didn't have that problem, so what do you think of it?

one thing the games suffer from is the limited visibility. it can add fear factor, but most of the time it is just a pain. it doesn't allow you to see the environment that they put so much effort into. not that I want it always to be light, but everything should be visible. similar to the lost river and the crystal caves in lighting. when you just see an empty screen, it is not as enjoyable.

With regards to the post-story gameplay idea, I think a choice of endings would be a cool way to implement that. Both games the end requires leaving 4546B, but maybe having the option to stay instead and complete extra objectives or some form of completion requirements and some extra unlocks for achieving them.
Also I love the idea of larger subs and more space to explore, but I’d like to see it combine the best of the Cyclops and the Seatruck, so you could use the habitat builder to expand it but not just internally, you could create extra parts of it and build it up over time, not just connect prebuilt modules in a line. Would be cool if they did something like that.

Something that might be cool as a way to keep old concept art in is to use fossils, a lot like in the first game, but a lot more direct about *how* they got there. Using the example in the video, you're right, having the ice dragon in a tropical biome wouldn't make sense- but what if the scans showed that this fossil is from a time when said tropical area was more polar? What if you could piece together information about plate tectonics and the planet's geological history, much more extensively than in the first game? Things like this can make a world feel very, very old, which can really make you feel small in comparison. It certainly wouldn't hurt the horror element.

  • @Sentinel_CYN
    @Sentinel_CYN Год назад +3

My suggestions: The first suggestion has to do with the ending. Im going to use the ending of Subnautica for example. So what if you takeoff in the rocket, get into orbit, and get ready to leave the planet. After that a malfunction of some sort occurs (like maybe a life support systems failure) and you have to go back to the planet and you crash, losing the blueprints for the rocket permanently (somehow), and end up stuck on the planet forever. This could also be used as a false ending and the story continues after this, possibly with a new location. This next one is kind of an addition to the idea of multiplayer but its still something new. What if it had a split screen mode so you can play with friends on one console. Another (and more likely to happen) suggestion for multiplayer is a server menu to join friends or make your own servers. A private option would be nice as well so only specific people can join it or make it open to friends.
My thoughts on other suggestions: The most scary part of these games for me was the terror and thinking something is out there. You know something is out there but you don’t know where it is, when it will attack, and if your new to the game you might not even know what it is. So fewer jump scares would be better. I also heavily support the idea starting at 7:15. I think one of the best parts of this expanded building would be having more rooms with very major and important functions. Customization is also cool and needs expanded.

One interesting option would be a tracking-implant injector, with which you can mark an individual creature for pursuit or avoidance. Imagine tagging a critter and following it back to its nest to collect an egg or other materials its species gathers or produces, or attaching a beeper to a leviathan so you get a audible warning ping that accelerates ominously as it approaches.
Another neat item would be deployable bubble walls linked to habitats or air pumps, that could cordon off areas of water for defense or to corral edible wildlife. Really big animals might bull through it if strongly motivated, but prey fishes and smaller predators could be deterred from crossing. Humpback whales use exhaled bubbles to do this in real life when they hunt schools of small fish. Plus, you could top off your tank by pausing in the middle of a bubble wall, as with brain corals.

But I would love if multiplayer is added to the next game, obviously I do not mean a 60 players battle royale and people no scopin reapers with the stasis rifle, a 4 player mode would be so nice, swimming away from a Leviathan and pissing your pants alongside a friend would be very hilariously funny and terrifying.
Maybe you could only access multiplayer mode once you have finished the game by yourself and the more people are in one playthrough the more difficult it is, like predators doing more damage and being more agressive or there are less resources since there are more hands to look for them.

It basically has 3 objectives, research the wildlife of Sector 2, find out what happened to those who used to be here (precursors and ships belonging to different companies", and get cozy, cause you didn't come here safely, but instead by an asteroid going through the engines of the ship you were on. You can find your ship, deep down in the depths, and find the lifepods, ships, and buildings that seemingly died from the fauna, leaving you alone with the sector

A lot of these suggestions assume the next Subnautica game would be like one of the previous ones.
I think an interesting take on the series would be to start you at a functional DEEP sea base that undergoes a disaster and mostly floods. You're alone and cut off from the surface. You'd have to deconstruct parts for building materials to restore a habitat section and go outside to enter different areas of the base for more advanced equipment. Outside would be dark and cold with limited air and a mix of predator and prey fish.
Early subs and prawn suits would be slowly damaged by the depth and cold until upgrades are built. This wouldn't be rapid damage like the first game. More of a cumulative damage over time that would be repaired by a base module rather than a handheld tool. Power in the base would be limited in the early game and you'd have to set up outposts near resources and thermal plants to power things while trying to get the reactor online.
The endgame condition would be to build a large long range submarine and make your way to a land installation. You'd start in the extreme deep where it was somewhat barren and try to work your way up to the surface where you'd have to contend with more hostile creatures, but it's light and warm and inviting.

My wishlist would be this here.
Customizable subs to get to (or throught) a specific biome would be cool. Like, having specialized modules to mod the sub into something that can sustain currents, heat or pressure.
Also having NPCs, whatfor am I building a nice gigantic base, if there is nobody else human on this planet? More decorations for that as well.
Longer distances between the "event locations", like the islands and the Aurora.
Ressource mining and post-endgame I´m all in for, too.

having leviathans fight could be really cool, especially if leviathans drop specific resources like sea dragon scales.
it would be interesting for players to see to leviathans fighting and frantically grab their stealth craft (having more specialized vehicles would also be really nice) and heading to the battle site in hopes of grabbing some resources while they are too busy with each other to notice. maybe the resources degrade so early game when you don't have the equipment or nerve to go to them during the fight you can still go after they've both swam off but you will get less out of it.
it would make it a mechanic of assessing risk vs reward instead of just being a aesthetic spectacle

The novelty of it is interesting but it would be frustrating to deal with it in gameplay. Sounds like a hardcore mechanic though, just not a default one.

I feel that Subnautica doesn't need leviathans the size of mountains, or biomes in the void. A massive leviathan would be unbalanced as hell because of how unrealistic it is and it would completely kill the immersion. And I think that while I would like to have a bottom to the void, I wouldn't like it to have biomes. What I would really like to see in the next Subnautica is more of a focus on the alien lifeforms and biology, and not the humans and precursors. That's why Subnautica is my favorite game ever and yet i just got bored of Below Zero. I want to see cool adaptations the creatures may have evolved into based on their environment, and see how they interact with the fauna and flora around them.
Also I really want large open spaces. They always look cool. I made a habitat handing over the void at the base of the mountain island, and the view is stunning. And after I exterminated all the reapers from the aurora, I was able to see how cool each cliff looked. Large open expanses of terrain always look nice. I hope the next Subnautica map did what he first game did, shallow in the center, and *gradually* deeper as you pushed outwards.

With those analyzer things for flora and fauna, it would be neat if the hand held scanner gives a basic, surface level understanding of a creature. Then you could catch it (if small enough), and analyze it more in depth. Maybe analyzing the creatures eggs or very young babies would also be something that could be done. And you could gain a deeper understanding of a creature by putting in a containment tank for extended periods of time to get even more data on the creatures.
Something similar would be done for plants too.
Gathering more information on everything you find would allow you to find new and unique ways to use different plants and animals to help you survive. Imagine if you were able to find a Stalker egg, analyze it, then hatch it in the alien containment, take it out and stick it in the bases analyzer to get the deepest understanding of its physiology possible. Then with that knowledge, you could bond with it so it views you as a companion, then you can have it go out and collect titanium items from across the map and bring them back to a designated area for you. And maybe you could even harvest their teeth directly periodically too.
Basically, much more science stuff is the biggest thing for me.

Instead of just dropping eggs into aquariums straightaway, have some kind of incubator for them to hatch? Maybe you could adjust the conditions slightly to make sure the eggs hatch, like taking care of reptilian eggs.
And yeah, being able to imprint on and raise the creatures you hatch as opposed to them turning hostile once you free them would be very nice. Maybe they can have unique markings or a wearable thing on like some kinda collar, so you can tell them apart from the average ones?

I think I’m terms of post-early access content, a series of Minecraft-style updates with these features could be cool. After the main game is finished, add in say an industrial update with the ability to automate resource collection or food production using base parts or tech. And alongside these, a new biome of two, with new alien artifacts in then to explore in order to obtain those new parts. Add in more story to uncover as well, and you’ve basically added a new chapter. With each of these updates, it will give players more incentive to replay the game differently, and something new to look forward to seeing in the next one.

I’m just going to put a list of different things that should be added.
1 - Different types of exterior and interior buildings, : I feel like this would be an awesome edition especially that we’ve seen things like cyclops docks, smaller scanner tables, and even maybe a radio for drop ship supplies to carry down resources given that in the. First game that when you pick up diamonds, the PDA makes a reference to your credits.
2 - An addition to the radio, maybe some different ships coming down on a landing pad, to either bring you supplies or just make a civilization to your base,
3 - Floating bases, given that we’ve seen mods like this to put a floating pad down and it acts like a base is an awesome addition.
4 - In my own opinion, way more power options, like Nuclear, Fusion, solar panels, air turbines. And an out of ocean design to.
5 - Much more islands, just the two in Subanutica was not enough and I feel like there should be at least 4-10 scattered through the map depending on how big the map is.
6 - A infinitely generation mode, where there is no end, just it’s infinitely generating and you can explore all you want.
7 - Leviathans that can attack your own base, this would certainly bring a terrifying aspect to the game if your base is not at all impenetrable when you get inside it, this was a main problem I found in Subnautica.
8 - Weapons, like Rocket launchers, guns, electricity devices, this would bring much more time into the game having to restock bullets and keep your base secure.
9 - Drones, Underwater ones and air borne ones as well, to mine, scout, alert, fight, or defend your base, this would bring an automation aspect to the game as well.
10 - Much larger leviathans, ones that are suspected to be adult Ghost leviathan sizes for a small type.
11 - much more oxygen tanks, given this map will be big, you will need probably an oxygen tank that goes up to 750-1,000.
12 - Guns for your own safety, this pretty much goes with #8
13 - flying vehicles, jets, helicopters, planes. Just make sure there’s no air defense.
14 - Flying dangers, such as Pterodactyl alien type species, this would bring an aspect that nothing you get to makes you immune. Sure this adds a lot more problems, but #8 has weapons for air defense.
15 - MUCH MUCH more upgrades, stealth mode, grenades, missiles, lasers, mining beam Mk 2, Battery Mk2, even using different species organs to make things like a electric shield using organs from a species.
That’s pretty much it, I’ll add more if I think of some.

They should add a giant submarine base they got close with the Cyclopes but that was a bit small and didn't have much to it. Imagine a Cyclopes but its a moving base that's more than a vehicle for example you would have to defend against leviathans. It would also work as a safe haven against creatures and leviathans or if they added weather weather too maybe add some drama too and some more places to park vehicles. It would work like a home, vehicle, and command center.

Since Below Zero added the ability to turn off power to individual rooms I think we should have power switches. That way you could put one in a room you wanted to control power in, like your scanner room, and flip that switch on and off to turn on and off power instead of having to run to the main control room, use the absolute nightmare to navigate on console (with Switch controller drift) to toggle power on and off in just one particular room.

Ice dragon sized, and it actually had a home you could go to and it actually had good ai. You get an atlas or hidden base and you need to use precursor stuff to either trap it, or signal alterra for help. I say trapping it in a hidden facility in its ice area. Like depicted in the concept art. A gigantic, hollowed out iceberg.

But it could be nice to have to make it, just to alleviate the symptoms of the Kharaa by catching the (peepers with the trails only) it would be nice to have symptoms as you see in max payne. or floaters in your eye's vision that hinder you unless you take a dip in to a containment unit and last an amount of time before you get sick again Bad dreams when you try to sleep are also fun.
