I feel they should add more leviathan interactions, not with the player, but with eachother. A stray leviathan wanders off or invades a different creature's territory. Have this behemoth fight somthin else but lose, not just so we can see two titans clash, but to emphasize that there is always a bigger fish, and even they, can go too deep.

Thats what I wanna see more of. Realistic creatures and interactions.
Thats why the ice worm is in my mind one of the best leviathans, because it actually eats creatures an animal of that size would need to eat. Thats also a gripe I have with some of the other leviathans, what does the reaper eat for it to have those mandables, or the sea dragon so on and so forth.

I think the leviathans should be fiercer in this game, and their design should reflect that. A good example is the reaper. It was massive and instills fear when you see it, let alone hearing it's roar. It was also very aggressive. I think they can be bigger and more aggressive for the third installment of the franchise. We also need more leviathans, especially more than Below Zero had. And not just more leviathans placed in the world but a whole variety of leviathan species throughout the world. Would be cool if we could also use the phase gates from the end of BZ to go to smaller maps on other planets (to get essential resources), each with at least 3 different leviathans.

    • @Can-ew4xr
      @Can-ew4xr 2 года назад +44

True, but they shouldn't add too many leviathans and make them too agressive because then we could get used to encountering leviathans and that would make them less scary and more annoying.

I feel like they should focuse more on creature detail and the actual ecosystem. Like how the ice worm wasn’t just there to kill the player but it also had a clear place in the food chain. This made the creature make a terrifying presence and actually feel more real and dominant in its environment. Also adding too many leviathans, might reduce the value of the leviathans in general (agressive ones atleast).

The kids who where told that they would get a prize made worse drawings than the others and had less interest in drawing afterwards, but the kids who got a prize as a surprise showed much bigger interests in drawing afterwards.
I think the same thing could be applied to subnautica where in the first game players where not told that there was good stuff far away from the pod and deep down (yes they could Probably guess it but I still think my point stands) but was rewarded by it with blueprints and minerals, while in below zero they where told to go places to get architect pieces and story stuff and got rewarded by it with said architect pieces and story stuff, making it in theory a worse experience.

You all good I get it and totally agree. It was way more rewarding to get stuff done in the first game because I had more independence. The hand holding in BZ made it feel like my accomplishments weren’t as personal since i wasn’t able to struggle through the trial/error process. Also made the game feel way shorter since I just went signal hunting instead of exploring. It’s really easy to get distracted in SN1 and that’s probably intended.

      @terminalvelocityrunner2202 2 года назад +18

@@nonec384 well, yes, but as you do go farther out, you run the meter even more. So if you’re constantly building some sort of undersea castle or just always get your subs eaten, you may eventually find yourself running out faster. Additionally, there’s the issue of the locations you can go to at any one depth progression point running lower, making them harder to find in general. These problems might not be as big for some people, but they can be pretty aggravating to others. And yes, there would need to be a balance to prevent people from abusing it for infinite easy resources, but it’s doable. Additionally a ‘global entity reset’ would make Leviathans and other non-respawning enemies much more dangerous if they could be killed for a while, but then just reappear after X amount of time. They are meant as a deterrent and something to fear when exploring, not as a boss or something to kill or fight. If you can just kill all the hostile ones permanently, it removes their entire purpose in the game’s design; to scare and occasionally antagonize you when you decide to go near their locations for any reason.

If the stakes are raised, the map is bigger with better enemy ai, they should give a limited amount of combat weapons, but they're hard to get and harder to keep loaded so it's for emergencies only. I would love to see them even further expand sea bases, and maybe even make it so larger predators/ leviathans can damage your sea base. Tbh I think it’s good to have a safe haven like the base offers, but it’s different and emersion breaking when you are invincible inside a sea base. The base flooding is an awesome concept and I have spent hours manually flooding my bases to mess with bulkheads for lols. But if you are in any way a competent player, you will never even have your base flood once in the entirety of a play through. The state of sea bases make it easy to carry four titanium and a quartz and Fortnite your way out of any potential danger. Just look at void bases to see how crazy it can be. I still think that protecting your base should should be an option (maybe like a forcefield module / dome) but it should be both expensive and energy draining. This would encourage a player to make a centralized space efficient base and actually make you think about where to put it instead of “oh thats a pretty area let’s build” or “wow a flat area I bet I can fill this up with 500 large rooms” other than damage/defense system, I would like more planters and more room sizes and shapes (possibly a whole planter room!) the idea for buildable outdoor catwalks was awesome but they removed it, and lots of small placable details were made unobtainable in BZ. (But you can flood a base and prop cannon then inside through the moonpool if you want.) if I had to choose a feature for building I want more than anything, it would without a doubt be interior stairs and corridor stairs. It’s hard to deal with lots of ladders and they can be weird in a giant spacious base, so please, L A R G E - R O O M - I N T E R I O R - S T A I R S

As to your point on a more indirect story, I'd agree - one reason I liked Subnautica was because it was significantly harder to accidently do things like step 2 before step 1. But at the same time, I liked the characters and voices of the Below Zero characters - I wanted them to survive a lot more than Ryley, and that was because they had characters - Ryley was just an empty void. Yes, you can imagine him as anyone you want, but that's not the same as having a character choices in game. As to a voiced make character ruining the imersion, any future Subnautica games won't be as immersive and new as the 1st one because we've experienced Subnautica before, and it's good that in BZ they went the opposite, going full into character and voices.

What I yearn for is improved sea creature AI.
Especially for interactions with each other, and how they interact with you (the player). I want to see stalkers STALKING and other predatory animals having the mobility to hunt.
I became quite disillusioned with most of the predators (Stalkers, sharks, leviathans, etc.) when I figured out that all you needed to do was orbit them in close proximity and they basically became harmless. The Reaper was an especially easy one to deal with. If I wasn't directly in front of its' face, it wouldn't touch me (and even if I was, 60% of the time it just swan past me).

Nice video! Here are my takes:
In terms of story it should be in-between compared to previous games. By that I mean it should guide you what to do next but give limited info. I don't think below zero was constantly holding your hand but it had less mystery and freedom
I also liked the progress of below zero more. The worst part of the original game for me was the need to find all those random wrecks to get neccesary/usefull blueprints. It's pretty boring, repetetive and off-putting
The world should be pretty open: that way it feels bigger. Caves are great but I don't like when it's hard to move around
I am hopeful they learned from their mistakes and 3rd subnautica will be a perfect balance between their previous projects. Aditionaly I hope they won't go too off track by making it completly different. It's hard to tell what's coming and what we should be expecting but I'm pretty sure the devs know what they are doing 😁

Personally, I didn’t buy below zero even though subnautica is one of my favourite games. I loved subnautica for the jump scares and big leviathans trying to kill me while I’m pretty much defenceless. The story was really good and I think that by not having a straight line story it allowed the player to explore more by themselves rather than being told where to go which built up the fear even more since they had no idea what to expect or whether they’re prepared enough to go into certain biomes. I also agree that a bigger map would be better as it allows for a large amount of variety. In the original subnautica there are multiple of the same biomes and it got a little repetitive however if they were different and included even more creatures, materials and fragments then it could add more to the game.

I’d like something simular to the very deep zones like the bulb zone and a huge abandoned facility that was studying wildlife from 4546B, that is above ground and has hostile flora and fauna that you have to ward off with your knife like the crab things, and also bring back the leviathans, and maybe have this game explain how the ice age happened, and you have to prepare for the freeze like when you are told when the aurora explodes. Have a lot of the ocean become colder, and you need special gear to get there, and less land areas that below zero. Have it so that if you enter a building that had a leviathan in containment, part of the building collapses behind you and a lot of fire appears that you have to fight off or die. I’d like to have some mystery, like the sea emperor. Have something like the lost river, maybe have the lost river be frozen over on the surface, and you can go to the lava castle with the big room and everything, but a lot of the rooms are empty and have been scavenged (by the character from subnautica) but you can still find remnants of the enzyme 42, and find corpses of animals infected with the kharaa bacterium. I’d like to see weather like in below zero, and most of all, I want to have a module for the cyclops or one of the bigger submarines that gives it a second vehicle dock, so I can rock both my seamoth and prawn suit.

And knowing how the earlier versions gave her more screen time making her help the player in the final act of the game would have changed my opinion of her. Also the key she has which I hope is still used for something big on the planet since it wasn't used as intended in BZ.

I didn't mind the SeaTruck. If it were in Base Subnautica I would definitely upgrade from the SeaMoth to it for it's customizability. However I wouldn't use it long term considering that the Cyclops is a far more superior mobile base option with the ability to fabricate base objects inside it such as plant pots, battery chargers, additional lockers, fabricators, upgrade station, etc. And the fact it can run silent mode and release decoys for getaways AND use sonar. It blows the SeaTruck out of the ocean for me. I genuinely missed the sonar and silent running when navigating around leviathans. The best option I had for keeping track of them was the Aquarium Module and the Bed Module for it's skylight. Keeping the Aquarium in the dead center of the Truck assembly was perfect for when I needed to kill the engine and look around for any threats and for the bed module, kept it near the back with the Docking Module so I can make damn sure nothing was above the exit.

They could have sections of little light with Leviathans. But they also could have caves filled with light from glowing plants. Think of how terrifying the real life DEEP ocean is and the things that inhabit it. Now imagine if it was an alien planet and a horror game!

Honestly as far as fighting leviathans goes I think they should be given passive regeneration so if you injure one while trying to get it to leave you alone it can heal from that damage.
I agree the smaller modular sea truck was better in a lot of ways, it fit in a lot more places and really felt more natural to maneuver. However I think they should either have empty cars that we furnish ourselves, making it more customizable like the cyclops, or give us more room types. Obviously one car everyone would love is a greenhouse car where you could raise plants. Another car I’d like is a charging car, it would have a battery and power cell charger, and built in solar panels to passively charge batteries from solar energy the car collects. I also think the Prawn suit docking car should actually enclose the prawn suit, because I found out the prawn can actually get damaged while docked after making a particularly bumpy journey out of some caves and getting out to forage for goodies and finding out my prawn was down to 40% health. I also think it should have a control panel like the cyclops has that would let you unload stuff from the prawn’s inventory or switch out mods without having to get out and do that.

Good points. About variety of vehicles. If devs like modular system its fine and can be a fine support vehicle. For example they can make huge submarine as main vehicle, then have additional modular that can carry storage module so if we plan to build a base far away, we can load resources to that vehicle bring them to base, leave storage block there (just leave it float around) and come back to cyclope quickly. Or make ores that require special drill that you can attach to your vehicle, bring to this ore, place it there and come for it when resources are depleted

The caves could be good IF executed right. They need to feel claustrophobic and maze like, most people (myself included) are terrified of cave diving and if they capitalise on WHY people are scared of cave diving, then they could have a very successful game. Imagine if you were swimming through this tight underwater cave without enough room to turn around and suddenly it opens up into this big enclosed space where a giant underwater space worm burrows out from under you and gobbles you up, that sounds horrifying!

5 thing i personally think they should add to subnautica
    1. add both of the vehicle from both games. cyclops, sea truck, prawn suit. and seamoth. i also believe that there should be new faster, bulkier, and/or bigger.
    2. have some of the animals from below zero and base game enter the third. depending on the setting this could be very possible. they are most likely going to add the peeper. but imagine the shrimp Leviathan in a place similar to the grassy plateaus. or the reaper in deeper water. or even add both void leviathans. imagine the void is just a giant leviathan play ground. like the dunes but with much more and more dangerous animals
    3. make a bigger map. but even better. have void travel. now this is a big task but this could make it easier to go to below zero and the original subnautica, while also having a bigger map.
    4. make it multiplayer and cross play.
    5. add details in each update. work bit by bit, small amounts at a time

1 : flashbombs that if you are too close you go blind but if you are at leAST 2 OR 3 METERS AWAY EVAN LEVIATHANS WOULD BE STUND
2 : BEING ABLE TO COMBINE THIS MECHS AND YOUR ( I FORGOT WHAT WAS NAME OF THIS TING ) vehicle
3 : CUTSCENES THAT YOU CAN SKIP
4 : OTHER ENDINGS LIKE IF YOU CURED YOURSELF AND GET RID OF THIS GUN BEFORE HELPING CREW ARRIWES YOU WOULD HAVE OTHER ENDING IF YOU DIDNT GET HELPED BY THIS CREW YOU JUST HAVE MORE GAME AND NORMAL ENDING
5 : ( AND THIS IS THE BEST IDEA I COM UP WITH ) ginormus harpoon that can kill leviathan but only once for like 7 in game days and you would have to get one leviathan close to one specyfic area get it infront of the harpoon and shot it then it would play cutscene with the harpoon geing strait onto a leviathan (in game monster hunter is ginormus spear called dragonator i think that this would be cool in subnautica
    and
6 leviathan could break some stuff from the fauna like you would need to get rid of the ginormus boulder and you are nerby a reaper so you use the leviathan and BOOM you run so he will loose interest of you

I don't disagree on any particular point here sir. On the note of trading off detail for vast areas, I really loved the idea of the dunes wrapping the entire map of Subnautica. I actually thought that's what it was when I first played because the back of the aurora looked like the dunes (dark and sandy). The main issue, with a larger map is going to be VRAM utilization I think. Subnautica didn't handle it super well(significant pop-in and fps drops). And for a new game we want even bigger than that. They have significant engineering challenges in making a larger world for the next Subnautica game.

I like how they justify not having any lethal weapons in Subnautica by having the PDA mention a massacre that happened on a different planet. It adds to the world building and it makes the universe seem more real, of course fabricators would be programmed to not make any powerful weapons after a horrible mass killing where the perpetrators most likely used portable fabricators like the one on your life pod to make weapons.

  • @jakzotak

three things I want for the next Subnautica:
More work done on the surface. I haven't played Below Zero yet so I don't know how well they improved it but from what little I have heard it sounds like they added three creatures, a hover bike, and that's about it. I would love it if there were couple land biomes and improved walking and other land movement, walking and jumping on land feels kind of clunky. Yes Subnautica is a water game BUT that doesn't mean it can't make good land content.
More vehicles. Maybe its because I'm the spaceship and submarine equivalent of a gun nut, but I think the next Subnautica should have more vehicles with different sizes and different functions, a freight craft with a large storage that you can access from outside, a stealth craft for when you want to sneak around the leviathans and sharks, etc. Having more options of vehicles could open biome and gameplay possibilities and would give people who just like to build things more to do.
Leviathan on leviathan battles, I've seen this mentioned on other RUclips videos and even Dr__T0X1C in the comments of this video point it out. I think if Leviathans fight from time to time this could add two big upgrades. One that would just be plain awesome and add life to the world making it seem more dynamic and alive, and two, if leviathans drop specific resources when they fight this could be a really cool mechanic. When you see a leviathan fight you have to decide if you want to grab your stealth craft and try to catch reaper scales while they are fresh without getting eaten, or wait until they give up and swim off at which point there are fewer because they have degraded or been eaten by smaller creatures or whatever. Maybe sometimes leviathans will die and if you want to harvest the carcass you need to get what you want before the bottom feeders eat all the good stuff, it would also add to the affect of Subnautica being immersive with a visible life cycle.

I think adding a harpoon gun with a tracker spear would be really cool, not to “battle” leviathans, but to make sure you know where they are so you can avoid them.
With this, they could also involve more advanced creature AI, like specific creatures remembering you, starting out curious when they first meet you, then iether more used to you or more aggressive as they encounter you more frequently
I think having some of the larger creatures be more involved in player interactions could make the game feel more dangerous when travelling in creature intense areas

I think sonar can create the effect you want. You can use sonar to locate the leviathans, and avoid them accordingly. It's a shame that sonar was removed in below zero. I guess that's because the map was too shallow and too small, so that's why bigger map is important.

I think something cool for subnautica 3 would be sanity. It is a hidden meter that goes up the longer you spend in a “dangerous” place, but rapidly decreases in a base or the starting “safe” area. As it goes down you will start to hear roars from creatures that aren’t really there, and at very low levels, SEE creatures that aren’t really there. They won’t have ANY difference from real creatures. And will even get VERY close and seem to be attacking at minimum sanity. But the only time you will know they are a hallucination is when they attack, as they will then disappear. This would freak some people out, and add a lot to the psychological horror part of subnautica. Also sanity will greatly decrease while near a leviathan. Also just so you know. It would take maybe 2 Hours in the dunes without encountering any leviathans for sanity to reach zero. Sanity is a very slow bar. But it will be TERRIFYING. Here are the numbers for when hallucinations begin
    25%: Faint Auditory Hallucinations
    30%: Louder Auditory Hallucinations
40%: Leviathan Auditory Hallucinations (If Current Area Has Leviathans)
    50%:Distant Visual Hallucinations

I definitley agree with what you said in the video. I want the story of the game to be much less enforced by the game, but I do like the ties to the original game in below zero. I would really love a similar thing to this is the third game. I also think it would be so cool to see Riley as an NPC in this game, wether he was rejected by Alterra, and he went back to live on 4546b, or he is helping them study it. Plus, instead of the devs adding a new cuttlefish-like creature, they could have it so if you met Riley, he would give you a cuttlefish egg after doing something, similar to how Marguerit gave you plants at her greenhouse in Below Zero after disabling the satellite.
I would love to see really big leviathans, as opposed to below zero, that had pretty small ones compared to the original. it would be really cool to have some creature in the void that is absolutley huge that TRULY makes you not want to go in the void, like the Gargantuan Leviathan in Return Of The Ancients.
It would also be super cool for them not to make many new creatures, but edit a lot of old rejected ones. One of them even including the Sand Worm from the early acess entity gallery of subnautica would be so cool.
I think it would also be very cool to have a boat as one of the vehicles like the Alterra Sea Voyager mod for Subnautica.

    I actually have an idea for sub3/sub mod;
    Subnautica: Drought
Less water, happens on the crater's far east, there isn't a lot of water there, essentially the counterpart of below zero, here, either a male character or a robot struggles with the unforgiving tropical heat of "4546B's east" more levies since only powerful creatures can survive the climate, a ton of land, and therefore land creatures.
Perhaps it would tell the story of a (human) aurora survivor or a (robot) sunbeam survivor, trying to understand what caused the extinction of many species, such as alpha peepers or sea emperor levys.
Edit: Human survivor would maybe be Alan from bz, a semi-open world archipelago would be great.

I… kinda disagree on a few things.
I personally found Below Zero far more frightening due to the weird map alignments in Below Zero. I never beat it because I got complacent. I built a small base, got Water Filtration and planted some food before I realised I had no compelling want to go deeper. That’s where that file sits to this day. In the original, I wasn’t forcing myself to go deeper out of fear, I was forcing myself to go deeper out of Intrigue. I wanted to know what was in the Lost River. I wanted to see the Grand Reef. I wanted to find what caused the quarantine, and I wanted to find a way to make my now home last forever. These questions and wants dissapeared in Below Zero. There was now Khara for me to save myself from. Just someone in my head to talk with the rest of the voices. There was no intrigue, because other people could go deeper when they wanted to. There was no rush. No… emergency. Only fear of the unknown. No reason to push past it.
It’s part of the reason why I believe Below Zero to be a flawed experience if you’ve played the original, and vice versa. One is built on intrigue, the other story beats that are pre established. In Below Zero, most questions asked are answered. But in original they aren’t, or at least I never found the answers. Why did Khara survive that long, and animals other than Sea Dragons not build an immunity? Why hasn’t this delicate ecosystem collapsed due to Levaithans over hunting and having no predators other than bigger Leviathans? Was Ryely mute or just emotionally detached?
I don’t ever want an answer to these questions because I keep guessing them.
Anyway, I guess I can agree on the rest of the video. Sorry about my mini rant

i was a year late to this video but the idea of a character who is a mix between riley and robin, who is mostly silent but talks sometimes is the same idea i have lol, i think that if subnautica 3 is like this the main character should have full lines but only when he/she is talking to someone else or surprised, the character should be a silent guy (in lore not in gameplay) who likes to doesn't talk much so it fits, so the lines that he would have in gameplay would be being amazed or being surprised or scared, like swimming in the middle of a herd of glow whales your character goes "Hm, wow." then goes back to being silent, or getting attacked by a levithan in a vehicle your character is rapidly breathing in fear, or getting suddenly attacked or something your character would be like "J-JESUS" and for the death animations i think they should be like Subnautica: bz, but when you die and it shows an animation of your character getting killed/eaten the sceen cuts out and you can hear your character screaming with the subnautica death theme, onto the other things like weapons tho, i think the only source of "weapons" should be something to slow the enemies down or a little bit of damage, like example: a net gun!

A entire game in the void would be crazy not knowing what or where is in the quiet and trying to live in a pretty much uninhabitable place and trying to find a safe place like the crater

I also feel like the story shouldn't be too streamlined and let the players go forward by themselves, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be a clear storyline either.
I like the idea that in Subnautica 3, we would be in an undersea settlement, for study and research purposes, with a whole team of people, but then something goes array.
Maybe most people suddenly disappear (that could be a good starting point for both Solo mode and Coop mode, if they make that), after you were sent to explore some area or some huge life signal in the distance, but you find nothing and when you come back, no one's here anymore (creating a feeling of mystery, loneliness, etc, even in Coop). Then it's up to you to go around in places and try and find out what happened, finding clues here and there, etc.
Maybe most of the vehicle plans would already be in the settlement but none would be possible to build because of unavailable materials, but you'd research and find materials that could replace them on this new emvironment.
Turns out that all the other scientists were lured out by a mind manipulating Leviathan ? Some were eaten on the way (as in, vehicle debris) - oh, is that a distress signal ? You go in its direction but multiple dead Leviathans in the ocean tells you to turn tail and prepare some more beforehand.
That's just an example on how I would love for it to go, but I'm sure Subnautica 3 will be awesome nonetheless. Time to play 1 and BZ again until then.

In the next subnautica I don't want every leviathan to stay in one place, at least the hostile leviathans tend to patrol one small area, which makes them predictable, like when you hop into subnautica, there's always a reaper just to the right of the aroura, which gives you some anxiety when you approach that area, but it means you know what to expect when you go there. I would love it if in one biome there were three or four leviathans that are constantly combing the entire biome, so you never know where they will be at any given moment. If it were like that, at any given moment you could have a leviathan coming towards you, or you wouldn't run into one at all, you would never know what was coming and it would add so much tension

I have an idea for a weapon some kind of tazer or stun gun, that requires unique battares as amo and could use one per shot, and the tazer would be short range manybe 2m-4m range. it could have a lets say 15seconde cool down a would caws any thing about bone shark sized or smaller to flle so it wodent affect anything langer so it could be a good peace of late game gear.

More variety in leviathans would be cool. I mostly just want a map that I can read in game and not have to look one up online. Also with the story unless you knew where to go you wander around a lot so maybe a couple more direction prompts for people who don't read PDAs. Don't get me wrong I love how open the game is but without RUclips I would have been lost.
Also I like how little the characters talk let's you put yourself in there place more easily. Especially since you can't pick your character gender.

One thing i hope is a bit more Mysterious Precursors... while i did like Alan in Below Zer0 aswell as the idea they could just build new Bodies and i LOVE the whole "explore Alien Ruins to figure out what's going on in the story" in the original Subnautica, i think they kinda were too quick on having us meet a Precursor, and i worry if they're gonna reveal too much too quickly and kinda ruin the mystique and importance each alien area had...
That and i'm sorry but i gotta get this off my chest, if you have an NPC character like Maida Clearly have a tamed Snow Stalker in her base, Give the player the option to tame one aswell... don't tease me like that-

Imagine a map, where most material rich biomes are split by vast dunes, similar to the biome in the original Subnautica, and to access more blueprints and rarer materials, one would either need to go into the caves in the floor to hide from leviathans, or speed through the open ocean. The caves would mean you would need oxygen further down making pipes and pumps more useful, since you need to cross before getting your first sub, and the vast dunes would make bigger submarines more viable. The dunes doesn't have to be very large, but maybe the same size as the grassy plateaus in width, and then stretch around the biomes in a web like pattern, so that only a few biomes touch, and then they could even make different "dunes" where they are different in danger, making early game more fair.

I want a mutated leviathan that’s like a garg like distantly related but yeah I want something like what you said something that gets in your head reminds you of bad thing make you think things that arent true convinces you to do things but doesn’t do what the sea emperor does it more slides across the bottom of the void reaching out with its physic tentacles and talking to you in your own voice saying things like it’s you secret concise or convincing you using it’s powers making you think that for instance it’s your childhood friend and if it lures you in it will slowly pull you down as it melts your brain and absorbs you consciousness adding you mind to its collection to take your knowledge and use your voice to lure more creatures and people I know right now I seem like some sick phycopath but that’s not what I am that is what the mantra slug is and that is what it tell you in your last seconds before it fully melts your brain and crushes your body “how could you be so stupid 🙃” anyway that’s the end of this sick and twisted leviathan idea also sorry I didn’t add punctuation Byeee

Agree with the open sea. When your hear that the deepest place in Subnautica is like 1700 meters it sounds very frightening. But most of that takes place within a cave system where you don't feel the depth at all and the same goes for below zero. 1700 meters in the open sea sounds very scary and I want to feel that.
And I kinda missed exploring wrecks in below zero. The mecury and all that was fine but...mostly empty. It was just there.

Subnautica 3 should have a section where you think something big is hunting you when actually it’s just your imagination like near a lab where after you explore it you hear that something was surrounding the base and it hides in the shadows and you would see it always below you then if get brave enough to look for it you would find out that it’s dead

They need to add more than 150 depth to the next sea moth type vehicle seeing as you can get no where with it unless you had a depth module and at least for subnautica 1 playing the story got you the first depth module and I don’t know about below zero but more depth it just felt like I was trapped sometimes in below zero and one reason was because of the depth I haven’t beat it yet because of mainly this feeling
