Yeh right Steve when was the last time we had the opportunity to ride the same ebike different sizes back to back?? We're lucky if we can pre order 1 without even sitting on it in the shop.
Great video Steve, thanks! I think comparing two “in between” sizes adds much to the overall conversation on e-bikes and applies to many of us, given that it is impossible to do for most everyone. This document is very informative in times when e-bikes are in short supply everywhere, availability IS the number one issue. 👍
They should make a scout version, I have the current Merida big trail 600 and the idea of even having the lowest amount of assistance on my bike is interesting just to keep me out riding longer
Steve you say the bike is a Gravity based emtb and you might be right there, but with identical 442mm chainstay as the new Turbo Levo it might be a Gravity up and down bike 😀
I am 184cm 32inch leg, originally wanted an XL Elite, but in a local bike shop they have a Comp in large. It's light grey which I really like and are offering it for £4600, versus the yellow which seems to be the new Elite colour. Not a fan of that. What do you reckon?
I’m eyeing a mega comp. First ever emtb. I’m 5.9 on a good day. Was talked into large on last bike and I think I would have been more comparable on large. Sounds like it nuke are on the large side I defo want to plump for medium ?
Steve I’ve had a Kelly’s Theos on order since September 2020, I’m now at a stage where I’m fed up of waiting and not getting conflicting updates from bike shop and manufacturers, so in the new year will probably cancel that order and jump into a Nukeproof, if you have any other recommendations let me know. Thanks
Hey Steve, would you share the fork setup you used on these runs? I did a pretty similar trailrun on my new 38 last week and did only use around 80% of the travel despite sag, rebound and compression being setup using the common techniques - fork felt a bit harsh as well. Dropped 5 psi for the second run with almost zero effect. Would be much appreciated. Cheers!
Still waiting for the Esommet review , the Esommet is basically exactly the same bike as the mega watt , same motor , travel and seat tube angle but we have never seen a review yet loads on the mega watt , come on EMBN get it sorted ..
It's a myth that shorter bikes are better in tight corners? Try taking a bus around a roundabout and then tell me that wheelbase doesn't affect handling in tight corners.
It seems like this make of ebike Nukeproof is the only bike that's available at the moment as far as Utube is concerned. Anything advertised to this extent doesnt interest me one bit
Wish these were coming to Australia. Contacted Nukeproof and they don't have a way to get the batteries here? Seems odd, probably not a big enough market for them.
@@Willdrknght They were my first call. They hadnt heard anything so I emailed Nukeproof directly, this is what they said; "Unfortunately due to the location of our distributors warehouse, shipping e-bikes to some countries is not possible/ logistically viable, as the couriers they use will not ship the large batteries found on e-bikes."
Interesting, logistics sounds like a nightmare for bike companies at the moment. I'll scratch the megawatt off the list then, I didn't hold much hope anyway, cheers.
Great video Steve and crew! Some
Great information for any potential rider!
Nukeproof when is the Megawatt going to be available in the USA. I have 2 megas for my boys and I would like a megawatt for the wife and me.
Technical climbing testing saddle offset but climbing out if the saddle how does that work 🤪 great video regardless 😁

This. The only ebike in stock at a shop within 300 miles of my house is an $11000 Specialized. You think they are loaning that one out for a demo?
Very true, just trying to help out with some decisions that need making for riders
Your best bet is to find a bike with similar size specifications and see how it fits your body.
Great video Steve, thanks!

👍
Hey thankyou, just trying to give everyone a bit of insight into decision making and getting it right
Got to love those roots on Sheepskull! The final section of Sheepskull is epic too. I did it yesterday for the first time and love it!
They should make a scout version, I have the current Merida big trail 600 and the idea of even having the lowest amount of assistance on my bike is interesting just to keep me out riding longer
thank you from Truckee California
That intro had me having Chemical Brothers flashbacks... Block Rockin' Beats!
Great video Steve very informative look forward to trying one 👍
If that had a bosch motor it would be fantastic

Maybe EMBN can find out when availability before everyone looks at other bikes?
Beautiful bikes, great review! Thanks Steve!
It's looks like a fun bike! Trying to find a good ride to purchase. Wondering what the bikes will be like next year!
R Raymon has a similar thing they do with their seat angle as well.
Is this piece about the bike itself or how to size your bike?
I am 6ft1 and will go for large, 475 is plenty of reach for me. 🤷🏼♂️

Awesome well put content 👌🏻
Compare that with the Niner WFO E9 that has 180 F/R travel.

Anyone know when there will be a restock in the uk? Dying to get my hands on one but they’re sold out everywhere ☹️

I want this bike. Can’t find a Dealer in the USA
Nice bikes if your used to xl levo with 480 mm reach, is l or xl closer?
Would be interesting to hear 🤷🏼♂️
Any news on that new pole bike are u getting one to demo???
Great looking bike, been trying to order one or even find out when available and get no answer from anyone 🙁
Chain reaction have them in stock at the moment 👍
Great video but with the current stock shortage all we can do is dream ☹️
Very nice bikes :-)

4:00 So unprofessional, Steve! Leaning the bike drive side down? *shame* :)
I’ve never realised that myself !!!
Surely there strong enough to allow you to lay it down
Wait watt?
Nice but No stock
Shud of shown us how to change the batteries
Why don’t biking videos tell you the benefits and advantages rather than tell you the differences. We can’t work it out, so tell me which to get
It’s a down hill oriented bike why would you be worried about the up hills ? It’s an e bike
It will go up hills better that a non e bike. So no stress

Talk to Off the Brakes in Queensland . They are the Nukeproof dealers in Australia .. good guys ✌🏻
But don’t count on stock .

Same here in Canada 🙁
I want one too , there be a way ! We will prevail , Somehow …..
