The neighbors must be very confused. “Oh there goes Stan again mowing leaves” “oh wait now he’s using his snow blower to chop them up and throw them again” interesting. Great video Stan love these
To get stuff out of a cumbersome box: cut around the bottom of the box about 1 inch up from the very bottom. Lift the box and leave all the parts in place.
Now this is a real snowblower test! The best part is when you used the snowblower to clear that thick pile of snow by the entrance of your driveway. That is the test of a snowblower IMO and that's where these battery powered blowers really should seek to improve on for future reference. I think the EGO held up to it just fine and it makes me hopeful that we will see even more improvements in the years to come!
Just bought the EGO based on your video.. Sold my 3 year old Craftsman. Thanks for great demo. I'm totally Battery now. Loving the Low maintenance of the EGO equipment
Finally! I have been looking forward to seeing this beast in snow for months!!!! Thanks you so much for doing this, and keep pumping out the awesome videos!
Perfect unit for someone who can't handle starting an engine or doesn't really want to maintain one. It looks durable. Your neighbors must be saying, "There's that crazy Stan blowing leaves with the snowblower again!"
I am thinking more like the 3 or 4 AM driveway clears where I need to get to work so I am out early getting rid of snow. I got a big property and long driveway that usually takes well over an hour with just a plow going up and down hills on my mower. Luckily I don't have many neighbours that complain at 4 am lol
Great review 👍 Snow looked wet and heavy - that is where the snow joe failed for me in 1inch snow fall and the shut was clogging. Also looks like enough power to get mine and the neighbors short driveways done in one charge. Cheers
Wow first the upgrades to the mower now your blowing snow that's crazy bit it is what it is. Always enjoy your videos there appreciated thanks your friend Rocco from Connecticut 👌✊🤙🤟🖐👍💪💵
Fun video! Just bought this 2-stage EGO snowblower for some Pennsylvania snow! Last year I used the small EGO to clear a lot of plowed piles at the end of the driveway. The snow was twice as high as the little snowblower, but it got the job done. Amazing how they power through the snow on battery power! It is definitely convenient to have a second set of batteries. These are great snowblowers for the pre-teen or wife to operate with ease. Looking forward to the next big snow!
I know this is a year later, but, I went into Lowes just prior to this year's first snow storm. Walked in and thought I saw an Ego box and headed for it. Well it was a Green works power washer. Yes in January Lowe's puts out spring stuff. Long story short, the wife spotted a floor model of the Ego single stage snow blower. We inquired about it and understand they had no other snow blowers. They told me a man was very interested in it but it didn't come with batteries. My guess is he was a first time Ego buyer and had no batteries. So Lowe's offered it to me at half price. From $469 to $235. That thing threw snow 40 feet easily. Another item to my Ego collection. Yes I am an Ego maniac. Love the products. Never been disappointed.
That snow blower is amazing. I got it and FINALLY got to use it... plows through DEEP packed snow without any issues. I just want more snow to be able to move it with this thing. It really does throw it 50'.
Dumping leaves in your driveway at night, watering the leaves, and then using a snowblower on the piles! Priceless. If your wife is anything like mine she often says " I don't know, I don't even ask him anymore." 🤣
Neighbors: "Here he goes again, who's calling his wife this time" btw, great video, I'm impressed with the battery life, good storm to test it out on since that snow seems to very very wet, sure there was a slush layer underneath the white on the black top.
Playing with a snow blower before the snow season,, you have prematurely awakened the snow god ,and in doing so .... you have set in motion what the rest of us are not looking forward to ... yet. Lol, great video .
Some people get to have all the fun!! It would be great to live across the street from you. Why watch football when I could watch you play with all the new stuff in lawn care. Never say anyone drive a snowblower though a living room!!Great video, hell of a snow storm 🌨. Can not wait to see what Mother Nature does to us this Winter 🥶. Thanks.
(Stanley’s neighbors) “hey babe come look at this, Stanley got every leaf in the neighborhood and he’s hosing them down and running a snow blower thru them”
Love your house. I just finished building a log home.. still have a lot of landscaping to do tho. But I'll get there. Thinking about getting this snowblower for the winter. Thx for the video.
WAIT! What the heck?? Stanley Genadek, the KING of gadgets doesn't have a garage door opener? I'm happy I was sitting down when I saw that! hahaha! Great video, Brother! Looks like that E GO does the job fairly well. Not quite sold on electric vs. gas powered yet but, IT IS quieter. I'm sure the neighbors appreciate that. God bless. STAY WARM!
You got me right on the fence. I bought a Toro Electric single stage last year. I didn't have it more than an hour before i took it back do to inferior results. I really am liking this big 2 stage beast.
I have a boss drag pro, basically chose it due to budget and dealer support. I've been really happy with it. Looking forward to your video. Arctic needs to make a sectional pull plow though. That would be awesome.
Love the no BS attitude of your videos. Here is a product! Let's see what we can do to break it. No sugar coating the out come. THE Dirt Monkey is equal to blue collar under writers lab!
STAN you never disappoint us, great video , i am sure the people at EGO watch all your videos as you use their products year round and they just grin and shake their heads LOL, my friends wife bought him an EGO snowblower to match his Ego lawnmower and he just loves it and they have a full double garage and driveway and it has never left him short on power and he says the 2 batteries charge up in about 30-40 mins when he runs them down on the dual charger and she just bought him an inverter that turns an EGO battery into a power source and they now use it when they go camping to power the electronics and a 1 cup coffeemaker , great video i like the leaves test
No one but Stan can get away with bringing a snowblower through the house. My wife would string me up by the augers for doing something crazy like that. LMAO
She must be a very easy going woman. After all, she didn't kill him when he ripped out the stone fireplace and replaced it with that fake rubber rock mat.
Stan the thing I like about this snow blower is the handle they give more adjustments in handle height making lower back stress go away not to much hunched over
I love this video!!! Stan is using the gas lawnmower and leaves blower to get leaves so he try out the battery operated snow blower.. now that funny I don’t care who you are..
Pretty sweet new toy there Stan! You need to throw it up against your 24" Ariens just for comparison sakes to see gas vs battery! Willing to do that this winter?
*Leaves bill at neighbors house that says, “No need to pay me just LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, AND RING THAT NOTIFICATION BELL!!”* 😂😂😂 Honestly man I love the videos. They’re informative and cover mostly all of the bases! I was curious on weight and you talked about that in the beginning with battery life and weight of the augers but I am interested in if it has the weight on the drive wheels *important* that way it can push through the bigger stuff like a gas snow blower. Because without the drive through the thick stuff it is essentially a heavier single stage. And with all of the metal in the front some companies make the mistake of not putting enough weight on the rear end which makes the drive wheels just spin if you’re not using tracks. But, then you pushed right on through what the roof dumped off and it seemed to do well!
Buying our first house and never had to use a snowblower before since I own a townhouse and I’ve been looking at this snowblower, looks really nice. I wasn’t sure if it would be enough battery to do my driveway since it’s pretty big but def looks like it would work. I’ll have to pick this up in the next few weeks.
This hurts. I purchased a new two-stage last year and went with an ICE engine because the only cordless ones I could find were single stage. To make matters worse I am already invested in both Ego and Greenworks. So I would already have an extra battery or two for this bad boy. My snow blower is my last ICE engine in my lawn/garden arsenal. Anyone want to buy a Toro gas two-stage used one year? LOL Great video Stanley!
I like how stan takes every piece of shiny brand new equipment he gets and runs it in the harshest most punishing conditions possible...i would never do it but like seeing what ki d of abuse stuff can take
Great to see you using the correct method of opening a box/packaging. With the biggest most inappropriate knife possible 👍 (not a sarcastic comment btw..)
You are an awesome neighbor! Just doing her driveway for fun. I would love to be your neighbor! Just because all the crazy things you do😂 Loved the video so hard!
This updated snow blower is very nice. Theres towns here in California that have banned gas blowers entirely so ive been benefiting from my ego backpack blower and handheld. I will be using them a lot when the leaves finally drop here. They should really make a more powerful backpack blower maybe one that holds two batteries. More cfm would be nice but it especially needs more MPH.
The blower was flooding out and running really rich. That's bad for the machine as it carbons up the intake, exhaust, cylinder walls, cylinder head, piston, & spark plug. It means there's unburnt fuel being run through the combustion chamber and often times it causes excessive carbon buildup and dumps fuel into the oil the longer you run it. Typically its a carburetor issue. I've seen a lot of carburetors where the butterfly valve for the choke falls off and gets stuck in the chamber of the carburetor throat "choking" it off, welch plugs missing, or even little jets in the carburetor falling out of place. I own a small engine repair shop over in Western WI about 20 minutes east of Stillwater, MN and have seen machines do things like that plenty of times. You can tell your leaf blower was flooding out because of the black smoke coming from the exhaust indicating the excessive fuel entering the engine. Hope you get/got it fixed, it's not good to run them like that! Also, sea foam is a joke and personally I have yet to see it actually provide any real results on any equipment that has come in.
Its funny to watch you assemble stuff and toss the wrapping and boxes on the floor... I can’t do that Stan...I gotta put it directly into trash can or bag it as I go! Yup I might be a little ocd.
Thank you for showing your actual battery life. You must have won the lottery with the amount of understanding your wife shows you, if she new about the whole through house thing :P
I wasn’t thinking the leaves were too weird, and then I watched you drive a snow covered blower through your living room 🤣 my wife will put up with a lot but that just simply wouldn’t fly 😬
Stan, open the top of the box like you did, Then cut open the front two corners from top to bottom. You should be able to roll the blower out of the box. Of course, your way was much more entertaining, I have the single-stage Ego and I will probably get this 2 stage. I don't really need it in Southern Wisconsin, but hey, I want it. I think you have a new product to market - "Stan's Snow Analog" for summer testing of snowblowers. You're just another kid with his new toy.
Finally a snowblower video with more than a dusting while testing it,alot of other videos show and inch of powder, what about those deep wet snows? Thanks for keeping it real.
Are you still using the Ego 2 stage snow blower? I just got one this past winter and it worked great for doing my driveway and it worked great for my short driveway, my sidewalk, and neighbors sidewalks, all on one charge. It also worked great for clearing out the big berms left by the snow plow going by. I picked up the Ego Z6 a few weeks ago, and now have plenty of batteries to return the favor of them snow blowing my driveway in years past.
That’s kinda cool, I still prefer my Yamaha blower for the slop we get here in Atlantic Canada. Did not know there were electric blowers, other than “snow brooms” or that ungodly hybrid monster Honda has😳
@@triplehbkundertaker1 yessir I’m on “Da Rock”. I don’t think that rig would suffice, pretty awesome though ha ha, Stanley should google snowmageddon 2020 ha ha.
12:44 the third augers is still a 2 stages. 2 stages means 1 stage to break the snow and ice and 1 stage to throw it. Making a fancier 1st stage does not change it’s function.
Another awesome video! I just bought the Ego 2 stage snow blower you used...with the 10AMP batteries. Can you please tell me what speed you used for the drive and the auger? I used mine once on about 8" of wet snow and my results were nothing like yours. I was on eco mode for both speeds and my experience was not as impressive as yours. I'm guessing that a slow drive speed and faster auger speed would work better 🤔
October snow that sucks for you but your far north guess you get ready for it anytime after beginning of this month what does the blower weigh and I wonder if left in cold below 20 degrees how long battery’s would last. Stan did you plow all your commercial accounts was it a scramble to get equipment ready. It snowed here in philly a few years back before Halloween it was a mess plus all the broken limbs and trees.
Any chance you used the Ego the past 24hrs? We had 8 inches of hard-packed wind-blown snow in Big Lake. Wonder how the Ego would do with this dense snow and cold temperatures.
It doesn't seem a whole lot quieter than a gas machine, or is that just the vidya? I expected it to be nearly silent... great review. Never would have thought of plowing my snowblower through leaves!
In my neck of the woods, we have two seasons: Hot and dry, and cool and wet. The only time we get snow is if we get hit with a hurricane. I know, a little odd, but it's true. No hurricane means no chance of snow. The worse winter storm we've had in a long time was the winter after Ike.
I remember your video on a tracked snowblower climbing your porch steps in order to clean off the deck. While the chances of the wife going nuts are high, being able to track this through the house to get to the porch because of no fumes is nice. LOL
Looks pretty awesome! I want to see how it dose when the snow plow goes by and you get that really heavy wet ice/snow combo at the bottom of the drive way.
Great video. First time visitor to your channel. My property much smaller. Got my Ego single stage last year...live in Chicago, disappointed didn't get much snow last year ... but was still impressed. As I am with all my Ego battery powered tools. Hope to see a future review here of Ego's upcoming riding battery powered snow blower. By the way do u mind sharing your camera setups. Particularly interested in camera and stand used in garage to film your closeup shots. Thanks again for sharing. Subscribed!
The neighbors must be very confused. “Oh there goes Stan again mowing leaves” “oh wait now he’s using his snow blower to chop them up and throw them again” interesting. Great video Stan love these

Yeah- I wonder what the neighbors think LoL- and Yes this snowblower is ideal for that person
@Philippe Blondeau I understand. I'm thinking of an older person or someone who isn't that handy. Myself? I have a Simplicity 32" beast!
@Philippe Blondeau id love to not have to listen to the blower running the whole time. But then I use a 54” blade on my atv not a blower anyways lol

Highly recommend you let your neighbors know before doing your leaves so they can come out and watch with some chairs.
Note to self, when building a garage, or re-roofing a garage, make sure it does not slope towards the driveway. DumbDesignsToLearnFrom LoL

It also worked great for clearing out the big berms left by the snow plow going by. I picked up the Ego Z6 a few weeks ago, and now have plenty of batteries to return the favor of them snow blowing my driveway in years past.
Honey whats that noise? Neighbor looking out his oh its just Stan snowblowing his leaves lol. Love you video stan
That’s kinda cool, I still prefer my Yamaha blower for the slop we get here in Atlantic Canada. Did not know there were electric blowers, other than “snow brooms” or that ungodly hybrid monster Honda has😳
Yeah- this thing is amazing!
Canada 😎👍
I’m in Nova Scotia, don’t tell me your in Newfoundland they get unreal snow
@@triplehbkundertaker1 yessir I’m on “Da Rock”. I don’t think that rig would suffice, pretty awesome though ha ha, Stanley should google snowmageddon 2020 ha ha.
Entertaining video 👍 I'm in the process of purchasing a Ego myself
Never mind the snow blower, I’m loving the Mustang!
Awesome video! I have two two stage snowblowers here, but definitely want to try out one of the electric jobbers, sounds like a UFO!
Any chance you used the Ego the past 24hrs? We had 8 inches of hard-packed wind-blown snow in Big Lake. Wonder how the Ego would do with this dense snow and cold temperatures.
Martha! Pack your bags! That Damn neighbor Stanley Genadek is using a snowblower on his leaves!!
LOL- martha and I would have to move somewhere no one lives lol
Got to love Minnesota snow in October
I know!
It didn't look that amazing in the leaves, but it seemed a lot more confident in the snow. 😁
Thank you for the video. Have a blessed day.
Thank you! You too!
love the tools, cut box open, working great
It doesn't seem a whole lot quieter than a gas machine, or is that just the vidya? I expected it to be nearly silent... great review. Never would have thought of plowing my snowblower through leaves!
Its actually not a LOT quieter-but it is a little
In my neck of the woods, we have two seasons: Hot and dry, and cool and wet.
LOL
Yep the neighbors must be like... WTF!! 😄
From what limited experience I have with Ego products, the battery power is impressive!
I agree with you.
Please keep that snow up there 😂. Great video 🤙 as always
Will do!!
I see you are from Minnesota... Greetings from Fargo, ND. We have just as much snow as this video too.
You usually get it worse than us.
Looks pretty awesome! I want to see how it dose when the snow plow goes by and you get that really heavy wet ice/snow combo at the bottom of the drive way.
Then watch the end of the video. my roof all fell at once into my driveway and it was a lot like what the snowplows leave
@@Dirtmonkey Thats true I guess. I didn't really think about that when I watched it. That thing rips through the snow!
Subscribed!
I love that loft in your house!
