My mom passed away 18 years ago and this song hits me so hard. 34 years old and I'm in tears like a child. It's very hard for me to describe why exactly because the lyrics are wonderful and JJ's mommy should be so proud ❤️🥰. But it reminds me that I can't look into my mother's eyes or be hugged by her 😭. This is really a masterpiece.

I’m 19 and lost my mum last month. I’ve had a rough life growing up and especially living in Northern Ireland. I always like to think music is the best therapy. If any of yous are feeling down just stick a song on and keep fighting with the shit hand you were dealt 💪🏿

Tonight I dreamt, my mother died. I went in her room to see if she's okay. I crawled in her bed and stayed the whole night happy she is healthy and always there for me. It was beautiful to hear that song this morning, thank you Kaleo. I decided to sing it for my mother on mothers day.

I raised my two sons alone, and picked up two girls along the way that needed a father. All are in their late 30's now, and they gave me 10 grandkids. Life is good. The cycle ended over 50 years ago for me! I win!

I found this on my mums Spotify playlist trying to find songs for her funeral. she passed recently. she also lost her mother young in life. and I believe this song reminded her of her mother who she missed. they shared a very close bond as did with my mum. beautiful song. I searched for a song which I heard in "Expandable 4" and found that it was "Backbone" by Kaleo. Now I heard several songs from this Band and the singer with the charismatic voice. The more I hear the more I like their music - and it really reminds me of songs from Bob Dylan, even the way Jökull sings seems similar to Bob Dylan way of interpretation. So wonderful that nowadays this kind of music lives on.
