Got into the EGO stuff this year.
    Average yard....not a big area.
    Started with the trimmer,then a mower(not self propelled)....then got 5he 18" chainsaw.
Overall I am very happy with all.
I have enough battery power to chainsaw anything I need to,trimmer is great, mower just as good as a gasser for my needs....and probably most home owners.
Foldability of the mower is awesome.

I’m glad it’s working out for you but I think if you had to cut up a large tree the ego chainsaw would not only cut slow compared to gas but would require several batteries to finish the job and probably overheat some batteries in the process.

Tim from Canada… to the guy on the video it is not your batteries. It is the quick lock system. It is overheating batteries frequently this is a problem many videos out there on this unit frying up your batteries. Did you not tell you this because they want you to buy the scrap I know I own this one I do not have any batteries. that have freight on me yet but I am waiting does not matter what unit you buy what brand you have everyone has a problem and they will not tell you this…. It is not you. It is not your batteries. It is the Milwaukee M 18 fuel. Quick. LOK system you have this watch your batteries you will get the find white powder coming out after batteries at Fry’s….. Milwaukee should have been on the ball on this, but yet every brand has one screwup, they will not tell you

Hey thanks for the comment. I’ve overheated batteries once or twice in the m18 chainsaw as well. All I know is that battery tools work well and are convenient for light duty work. They are far from sufficient for a lot of commercial work.

I actually had the same Echo hedge trimmer but sold it because the vibration was awful... Was a shame really because I really like it. I'm currently using the ego power head and it's fantastic especially with the hedge trimmer attachment. I still have a Husqvarna blower and brush cutter for the bigger jobs. I see it as a best of both worlds situation with battery and Petrol.

Yea it does vibrate a lot I agree. It’s been really reliable though. Decent amount of hours on it but I don’t spend all day long on my hedge trimmer like I do with the weed whacker.

Interesting I’ve never experienced the batteries being melted but they have overheated several times on me especially in the string trimmer.

@@erike7297 for me it melted the negative - Connection on the battery and you saw Martinus on the connector side on the tool.
It happend on two different units.
This was the very reason i switched to Makita 40V.
      Same tool two different worlds.
