I just got a 8 amp hour bundle with string trimmer, brush cutter and hedge trimmer. Homeowner and I do yard work as a side hustle. I don't have a truck/trailer. All my tools go into a CRV. Been doing it for 4 years now and use mostly manual tools and an extension cord model sun joe extention hedge trimmer (which was awesome). But I wanted to upgrade. I need electric because I don't want my crv to smell like gas/oil. Overall I'm super happy with my choice. I also have the milwaukee fuel hackzall and hatchet. All amazing tools. I do eventually want to add the polesaw, edger and the extension piece to help the hedge trimmer get to higher places.
Careful with pushing to hard, the connection between my battery and the unit melted shut with a 8ah HO battery when using the trimmer :-O "used it too hard". Milwaukee in Sweden wont fix it for free so not sure if i even should fix it since it seem to be a normal issue 😲
The rep claimed it could be dirt at the connection but at the same time "never heard of it" 🥱 Another user with same issues replaced on warranty 3 times and think its the vibration that cause it 😅
The strap holder that you don’t like on the mikwaukee….. do you think the stihl one will work on the mikwaukee shaft? Are they the same diameter shaft?
This was a real disappointment, I used a rode mic with wind muffler and still had major issues, in hindsight should have gone for the lav mic and wireless transmission, but it was too late, didn't pick it up til the edit. Thanks Andrew for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Been cutting hedges for 11 years using all petrol equipment. I'm thinking of making the switch as I'm fed up with the fumes and the weight of petrol machinery

I hired one of the pole chain saws a few years ago, the guy in the hire shop called it "Death on a stick"... I was super cautious using it.
