Philippines is not the land of opportunity for foreigners to invest or settle Foreigners can only own 40% of any PH business or corporations if the main Fil. owner allows it (the 60/40 Filipino first policy) Foreigners can obtain PH citizenship if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family or if one of their parents is a Fil. which is not the case of most foreigners PH is heaven on earth for rich Filipinos only

It is rather absurd that foreign national spouses traveling alone cannot avail of the Balikbayan privilege. Whoever thought this was a good idea?
I have also heard that once you have a Balikbayan stamp in your passport, that is sufficient evidence that you are entitled to future Balikbayan entry. Is this true? For example, if I enter the Philippines as a foreign national, with my Filipino spouse and avail of the Balikbayan stamp, can I, in future, enter the Philippines again but without my Filipino spouse and still get Balikbayan privilege simply because I already have a Balikbayan stamp in my passport? Maraning salamat po.
