Wow. What a powerful statement. And proof that excellent music can be interpreted in so many ways. Absolutely wonderful, and a tribute to the original. Thank you.
I've been following OMF for years and I am always blown away. However, this one hit home. I found myself tearing up almost from the beginning. I firmly believe she was coming deep from heart with this. Absolutely beautiful.
So here is the thing about metal. It has the most soulful meaning behind it, the words are literally emotions and feelings that run so deep that they come out loud and angry. Not like the rap and hi hop crap that toxifies the youth of today. Her singing this only shows that. This is my opinion and if you disagree I don't freaking care. Thanks for this
Someone could put themselves in other people's shoes and relate to a song in their own way and put their whole heart and soul into their version. Maybe it meant something personal to her while she was singing it. It doesn't have to be what Corey wrote it about. She can pull emotion from her own interpretation of the lyrics that might come from experiences she's had or are going through.@@magnol1ap3arl81
Keeley, You definitely have a great voice. Don't get discouraged by what people say here. This song is so big, so emotional. Corey breaks down each time he sings it because it still hurts too much. His hardcore fans will have a hard time accepting this as anywhere near the level of what he brings. I realize that maye you aren't trying to be better, and just honoring his song, thats ok, but you gotta understand the subject matter and how he and his fans feel every word of it. Some songs don't need to be covered. Some songs you can't "make your own" as is often said of people covering the greats because folks will see it as disrespectful. It can be a tribute, as Tenacious D says, and I commend you for putting yourself out there. I hope you aren't upset by my comments or anyone else's. You are brave, have a beautiful voice, and have a great career ahead of you. I for one have never heard you sing, this made me aware and will check out your other offerings as well.
Any song can be made someone's own. I don't care how much the hardcore fans want to whine about not being happy with anything but the original. I think she did pretty great here. And no, she doesn't have to understand the subject matter. That's the beauty of music. Most artists and bands will tell you they love it when people get totally different meanings and they're usually interested in what other people's takes on the songs are, even if it's just one line that they feel they relate to the most in the entire song, because it's fascinating that music can do that. So no, covering the greats isn't disrespectful at all.......unless it's done extremely terribly, which just isn't the case here. Not to me anyhow.
Not sure her style/delivery was 100% complimentary to the song, but it was still very beautiful! One of the best covers of this song that I have heard!
You guys keep amazing me with your music. Trust me, from a teacher to others who teach people to be better at their craft: you guys are awesome. And the kids are very skilled as well.
Very good song. Very talented young lady and some awesome musicians. From somebody who has these lyrics tattooed across my chest I didn't feel as if the deep emotion and intensity was there with the original as there was not a emotional attachment I guess. Definitely some wonderful musicians and a great vocalist. Hope these kids grow up to make something of themselves they're doing great. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to hear what's next
I think this channel and the foundation will open up so many doors for these kids. yesAGT is huge and metal doesn't get the attention it deserves, but I think the future will be bountiful for them
She has a beautiful instrument. However if i could make some critical feedback that would make it back to this young lady. The extra runs felt more mechanical than enhancing for this track. I think there was room for perhaps 25% of those to make sense in this song. I think she has a bright future in music.
She's talented but these stretches were not required for this emotional song. Sounds like a pop artist covering Corey. I love O'Keefe Foundation for keeping these amazing songs alive but would have preferred if it focused more on emotions from the instruments than adding these fancy notes. Still love you guys! Thanks for covering my favorite Slipknot track ❤
@@lesserandromedaI agree. Said emotions can be described in different ways but this song took away Slipknot's feeling for me. Imagine singing something like comfortably numb with these notes, wouldn't that somehow ruin the song for some people?
Too many trills. Sounds great! But distracting… This is why those who write songs like this are so effective. The art isn’t isn’t always about the technicality of a particular instrument. But then again, my opinion is subjective 🤷🏼♂️
Shivers as soon as this talented lady started
Easily the best singer at o’keefe, glad they finally posted this one
Мне в исполнении Тейлор больше понравилось.
Wow. What a powerful statement. And proof that excellent music can be interpreted in so many ways. Absolutely wonderful, and a tribute to the original. Thank you.
absolutely stunning version. what a gift her voice is to this world. WOW!
What a voice, and what an amazingly unique version of this song! 👏💯
I've been following OMF for years and I am always blown away. However, this one hit home. I found myself tearing up almost from the beginning. I firmly believe she was coming deep from heart with this. Absolutely beautiful.

It’s done very well. Wonderful voice and job.
One of my favorite songs
indeed. It's just so haunting
Wow, I didn't think anyone could get close to how Corey put his soul into this song. Amazing cover.
Her soul isn't in it. Corey lived this. She's what 15?
This one is good for sure! Check this one out, I find myself listening to this one alot ruclips.net/video/_cLFseR-S50/видео.htmlsi=kk3sMz0k1XWvw0Y2

well said. its a hard needle to thread sometimes and covers always come with a mix of emotional reactions.

Those opening bars... Chills. Well done!
Beautiful cover.
Beautifully Done young lady! 🤘🏼😎👍🏼
So awesome love her voice and how she made the song hers a lot of talent right there❤
What a great job to great song love it
Pretty. Darn. Good. Stuff. Hard to replicate Corey's pain, but jeez, this was top shelf.
epic... What a voice!
Amazing cover and props to the possible producer with the Lamb of God T.
Not sure her style/delivery was 100% complimentary to the song, but it was still very beautiful! One of the best covers of this song that I have heard!
This would be a 10/10 if the Ariana Grande additive inflection on certain words were just normal.
Damn!!! Chills

Nice cover.beautiful voice.👍

Beautiful cover😢
Some of these talented kids need AGT...they could win. Beautiful
Isnt AGT biased against metal?
I think this channel and the foundation will open up so many doors for these kids. yesAGT is huge and metal doesn't get the attention it deserves, but I think the future will be bountiful for them
Bad ass!
Where's 1of3 and 3of3?
She has a beautiful instrument. However if i could make some critical feedback that would make it back to this young lady. The extra runs felt more mechanical than enhancing for this track.
I think there was room for perhaps 25% of those to make sense in this song. I think she has a bright future in music.
Please, someone send this to Corey ASAP
Nice
Wow
Was that Billie Eilish on the boards
Need to cover some static x 🤘

Wtf you mean by stretches?
It's their expression of said emotion.
Can be done in different ways.

@@lesserandromedashe's super talented though, nobody is arguing that❤
or a talented kid that clearly listens to great music but don't have the heartaches of Corey to sing with that emotion YET..
@@broderickproject8721 L because I've a different opinion? Tried to present it in the nicest way. There are some who agree, but okay
I think I like the female version better
She gives such sadness to the song. Corey Taylor would be so proud of this cover.
She needs to work on her range. Lower it down in the chorus.
Am I the only one who wants to see this girl duet with Corey Taylor?????
Great voice. Gifted voice. But what’s with the lack of pronunciation and the drawn out singing? It doesn’t carry the the lyrics.
Too many trills. Sounds great! But distracting… This is why those who write songs like this are so effective. The art isn’t isn’t always about the technicality of a particular instrument. But then again, my opinion is subjective 🤷🏼♂️
Great singer but missing the soul of the song unfortunately
Beautiful voice but open your mouth so we can understand what you're singing & ffs leave those runs out..... it's a rock ballad!
too much sound techniques It ruins her performance.
no
Nope didn't like it neither of ur version n u too behind to get genuine advice.
The vocal embellishments are distracting and I find them unpleasant,l unnecessary, and egotistical. Sorry. Great voice !
nice voice wrong song for her!its not rnb its metal plz sing it as such
Singer not good for this song
THAT WAS FUCKING BADASS
