- Haven't shown Viral Zero since the new engine so here you have it.
Viral Armor specs:
Jumper: Jump Height slightly increased;
Viral Last Stand: Zero can only die when he is at 1 HP (does not work on instant death);
Viral infection: Infects enemies with regular attacks and on contact dealing damage over time;
Viral Phase: When idle for a short amount of time, Zero becomes invulnerable to all attacks;
Viral Overdrive: Energy burst that overfills the saber energy;

I grew up with Megaman. We were both born in '86. The very first game I EVER played was Megaman 2 on the NES. X, X2, and X3 on the SNES where some of my favorite games on the console. I've been keeping an eye on your project for quite a while now and I get excited to see any updates you post. It looks amazing. I'm looking forward to the day I get to play this game because it seems like you've been able to capture, reproduce, and even improve upon what made all those classic Megaman games so great.
I like how the bosses don't have invincibility frames.
Because it makes chaining combos with Zero a lot more usefull.
And not to be easy the bosses have a realy long healthbar,so it makes battles with Zero more exciting 'cause you can chain combos and the batles take longer,so you really feel like you're fighting a boss.

Only MegaMan X4 (US version) had that Voice Actor. They say he was the worst Zero ever. Still, you gotta play X4 ASAP and see what I mean.

I kinda wish one of Zero's armors is JKB Games original.
Black Zero was in X4.
And Virus Zero are like the shadows from X5 and Nightmare Zero from X6, with a faceplate.
+Cernunnos Viral Zero is new, it has different legs, chest and helmet(not only faceplate). The color scheme is different from nightmare and the abilities are nothing like it.
+JKB Games Are the abilities linked to the armor used? (i.e. Raijingeki only usable in Viral Armor , etc.)
man sometimes every time I check your videos I could slap myself because I only get more hyped to see this game release. The sprites look good, there are cool technices for zeroo and awesome weapons for X and the fast gameplay that I learned to love in MMX6 (my first X game) - one question about Zeros jumping tho, will he just have a regular double jump like you use it so far? I really loved that double jump from X6 with the summersault midair
The OST to this level is really good & Zero's gameplay is a lot better then I remember it for him. I can't wait to play this in some sort of way. Hopefully a test level at least with a mini boss.

This is an amazing creation and I love the level designs and boss music! The boss characters are fresh and well-designed and the weapons are highly intuitive. This is quite simply one of the best X games I've seen made by the community hands-down. I don't suppose you're considering approaching Capcom with this? This deserves to see the light of day and you've already done all the work for them, how can they refuse? They've yet to do anything with X in 12 years, which is far too long to let a franchise go. If they have any sense, they'll hire you!
Awesome stuff as always. As far as I'm concerned, that teleporting counter slash is the only way to deliver the final blow to bosses. ;D
That armor looks fucking amazing
Easily the best Megaman fan project I've seen. The combo system looks awesome and judging from the videos it actually looks like fun and seems to control pretty well. I've always thought regenerating ammo in a MMZ / MMX game would work really well, and I'm surprised Capcom never implemented such a system in their games.Can't wait to play this for myself, keep up the good work!

Le Dapper Greninja im willing to bet hes only showing this one maverick to avoid spoilers. I'd do the same thing. He can show off all the cool suits, moves, mechanics, etc in one or two zones and against 1 boss with ease.
There are literally no fan-made games of any major series that i have had any interest in, except this one. This game looks AMAZING cant wait for release!

Actually i do know about that, but i havnt looked at it in awhile. Last i knew the game was "playable" for the first....15 metroids? but it was missing a ton of stuff still.
It looked great, but when i saw it it was too early in development to say yay or nay.
The moment this game comes out, it will be my favorite game of all time.
Man, this is probably my favorite stage based on music alone. add in gameplay and art direction, and this game is borderline UNFAIR with how good it has the potential to be.

Don't know how do you make this, but this is amazingly well done! Even Capcom didn't make such cooler things in its megaman games.

In the X video, he was playing on S rank with the Final Four effects. In this video I don't think he was even playing A rank, and I didn't see any Final Four effects.

Oh man. This is just, just freaking revolutionary among Mega Man games. You have risen above the standard of Capcom. Viral Zero is such a beast. It's noticeable that you wanted to make the player feel crushingly powerful against enemies and bosses whereas traditional Mega Man games make some bosses feel superior to the player in raw power. That counter move is so cool. I love your game-making skills.
The controls look as smooth as butter. The music is pleasant and somewhat reminiscent of Sonic, the world is big and pretty. I like.

Did you change Zero's voice lines for the viral armor? I noticed a slight difference between what I saw before and this.
If Capcom were smart they would offer you a license to produce this game in exchange for a royalty and fund your team and their development. You have really made an incredible game here. I know this would be a blockbuster if it ever sold.

That teleporting move is cool. Is it an ability you learn from a Maverick? And can you do it as often as you like? Cuz it seems like something that is easily abuseable.
Also if you do it to an enemy next to a wall, how do you make sure you don't glitch through the wall?

TheBLBShow Yes, it's gained from one of the bosses. No, it uses up energy and only works on ground.
Oh, there were plenty of bugs with this skill, but I'm pretty good at killing those. 8D

that's extremely great! the only thing I missed was Zero's voice during attacks and taking damage, you could add this and it would be awesome!
3:16 Everyone going about the gameplay and everything which is really amazing I'll admit but are we even looking at the dialogue? This phrase alone is by far better than anything said in the original series
CrimsonAnihilator to be honest, I played MMX6 first, MMX7 and then went back and play MMX5 and4, I almost never read any of the games dialogue anyway after realising fast, its not helping with the atmosphere much, the gameplay was all that matters for the series (IMO)

Daaaang Viral Zero looks game breaking in the most badass way possible. I don't mind though, it's nice to see how far Corrupted has come since its inception. Can't think of an indie/fan game that has made me more excited than this one, I look forward to this more than Mighty No.9 even. This is where the MMX series *should* have gone after X5.
JKB, which are the Zero resources for his attacks? And which of them are finite? It was really nice to see the Sword Robot in action. Keep it up!
urias134 Special skills uses saber energy.
Saber energy regens slowly and also replenishes when you hit enemies with your regular attacks.
Hey JKB what's that capsule the enemy drops at 2:23? Also what is the red in Zeros energy bar for?
***** Those are "Bad Items" it's one of the FF effects.
The red energy is from Viral Overdrive (that thing Zero does on his intro) that overloads the Saber meter.

Is the Viral Form based on the Zero Ultimate Armor which had a lot of Wily Motifs to it that was supposed to show up in X4 but was later cancelled?

The only thing more perfect would be if they incorporated some of the absolute zero design from command mission (since it calls back to bass the same way the first armor sorta called back to the rush armor to megaman in a way) still this is amazing. They even made it purple kinda like the zero nightmare! This is peak fan love.

I kinda like the idea that both X and Zero are just as OP as the bosses you fight
Couple questions. First how do you get the extra red energy for saber attacks? I'm sure it's an item of some sort because it doesn't recharge like the green. Second, is the green after image attack a weapon obtained from a boss, or just a skill? Lastly, viral zero kind of three hit the giant ride armors and finished the mini boss within seconds, is he overpowered, or will this change at all before the final game?
Also at 2:24 there is a different colored weapon energy that's purple and green versus the normal blue colored one, could you explain that?

The ride armors are pretty weak when you hit the rider, X can kill with one big charged shot.
The miniboss will stay like this, it has weakness to fire.
Eager to play as always . The game will archievements to complete ? It would be a good idea for a replay factor , besides the extra difficulties

I think the viral goop that gets put on the npc's when zero slashes looks a bit off but I'm not sure how you would fix it, maybe just making it less busy of a sprite?
If I don't get to listen to that boss theme by itself within the next year I will finally end my life.
