Those seats will hug you like your first girlfriend as for the sagging it's only a thin layer of foam on the back of the material easy fix I own one myself and I can tell you this is a beauty and it looks really honest and only going one way in value and that's up.
I had a black one - loved the car. They had a clad exhaust (stainless over carbon steel) Seats were by a company called ASS (german company can't remember full name). They had little caster on front wheels so needed to be actively steered, but changed direction quickly. Sold mine, and next owner rolled it and reshelled and had repainted in a Ford 'minerva?' blue. Must check the reg.
WOW it's so beautiful. I could of bought one in the 90s but I decided to get a XR3I instead because I didn't think there was much difference between them at the time wish I got a RS1600i instead now
The same thing happened with the MK2 RS2000 and RS1800, both had similar performance but the cheaper RS2000 had a cheap to fix Cortina engine, and a unique nose cone with twin headlights. So everyone went for the RS2000, yet today the RS1800 has become the most desirable car with a price tag to match.
Nice looking motor these are sky rocketing in value and this really does look nice always wanted to buy one just to put at the side of my series 1 Turbo but out of my price bracket now . Should do well in the auction will be intresting to see what it fetches as cars in the auction seam to do less than the net 👍
They are following on from Cosworths and rs1600 + lotus escorts going up in value significantly The trick is knowing what’s going up and these things at £15-£20k looked good when a toshed up mk2 rs was £30k to £35k .
The clever man, forgets about all those cars that have already seen huge price gains and directs his attention to more modern cars that have either just started to move or have the credentials to do. It' not as if it's difficult to do and I agree the first Focus ST, particularly a 500 or a ST3 in Orange. Don't forget the Mondeo ST220, in 1995 Ford built less of these than Aston did DB9's.
When I just started driving s couple of my mates had them one red one white.... I always thought they were vastly over rated tbh. The seats were nice, but the engine was HARSH! Noisy and rattly, but they all did... CVH engine.... The suspension was very firm!! My Citroen Visa GTI was a much better drive ...
Incredible nick, I had an XR3i in 92-93 it wasn’t even 10 years old and was absolutely falling to bits.
Nice to see filmed on a 1983 Ford camera phone

These cars went well (especially on the arches) how a Ford that used to dissolve in the rain, still be around decades later is beyond me.
If you have the money and your a lover of old fords go for it, such a lovely iconic car 👍
There is so much better for the money with equally as good appreciation prospects.
great cars.... was this filmed on a 90s phone or filmed in the 90s lol ..quality
Still my favourite car to this day

@@levelcrossing150 Yes but the RS1800 needed 5 star?
@@davidmg1925 Yes I believe so, but what are they running them on now?

@@chiefrocka8604 hope so got a 3 door cosie as well and didn't think them would do what they are doing now 😎
@@alanashall9567 I had one and sold it for a car that did more in rallying namely a escort cosworth
Had a blue one - lovely car to drive and fast , but the engine bulkhead was rotten, apparently common on the RS1600i
Lovely car, so expensive these days like most cars. Great investment 👌 good time to buy a focus st 👍 as these will be the same in years to come 😀

Very nice,I don't really have to say anymore 👍👍
A nice car but I would not pay the money they r fecking I don't under stand why people are so much in love with Ford
The answer is nostalgia but I agree there are much better classic cars for the money that offer similar appreciation prospects.
15-25£ mad money...
People putting a price on the past eh Andy
I do understand it but it's still bonkers mental
I've got EWX 987Y 😁
Caspian blue
Boy racers dream
Needs some work, but no more than £3,000 to spend on it. Worth about £100-125,000 in ten years.
😂😂
Only if you can find an idiot first
Non opening rear windows again!!!!
They were extra
think this old girl has had a new driver's wing... badly fitting with indicator housing and lacking a stereo aerial....
Sixteen hundred i. not 600 i.
Yes they are expensive . Not that good and still rust badly .
