I 1000% would watch Brent do a microscope video. I wonder if there’s enough magnification to see how chunky craft paint pigment is compared to model paints.
Craft paint pigments are still small enough that if you switched out the hobby paints of 90% of gamers, they likely wouldn’t even know. I used hobby paints for about 20 years in this hobby, and they have a higher ceiling of quality than nearly all miniature painters can achieve anyway.
Peachy would know better too! If that’s the case then there’s definitely no sense in buying one for even more money. Kinda cool to know that they exist though, in a pinch at least.
@@PaintBravelyThePodcast From their conversation with Byron of Artis Opus and sourcing brushes the inference was W&N, GW and AO all have their brushes made by the same group of expert brush making grannies from the same source materials, just different specs
My family have always been big bookshelf-needers. Apparently my dad's friends refused to ever help him move after the first time; one friend explained as "I wish you never learned to read"
[Adopts 'well, akshually' mode] I reckon what Casey saw was a cluster of Starlink satellites shortly after launch being deployed. They ultimately end up in geostationary orbits, so no 'signal jumping' like Brent speculated, but after launch they get deployed together before tracking off to their final destination orbits. There are launches every week at the moment, so fairly common I guess!
Thanks Brent you got me. I dont normally watch on youtube just listen on my podcast app. But the damn "bronto episode" got me to click you truly are a master baiter.
As someone growing up among cows and other farm animals, herbivores being differentiated by not having teeth is kind of news to me, Brent :D Seems like I have to rethink my entire youth!
For airbrush compressors the Harbor Freight "Fortress" brand Ultra quiet compressors are a great option. They are designed for air tools so you will need a reducer to change the 1/4 NPT connector to the 1/8 airbrush connector but it has a decent tank and is still very quiet. I like them much better than dedicated airbrush compressors.
I came to make this comment, lol. I have the 2 gallon Fortress. It is quiet and can run my air brushes, spray gun, and pressure pot. It has been going strong for nearly three years now.
Brontosaurus sort of no longer exists as a name. Turns out it was the same thing as the previously discovered Apatosaurus, so they stuck with the first one.
That thing looks like it's roughly the same size as the Brontosaurus toy for the Dino-Riders. With 40K-bits it could be turned into one, which could also be done with random toy dinosaurs.
I'm hoping Brent washes, blots and then puts that #0 brush under the microscope to see if theres enough water to warrant the "you need to hang brushes to dry" urban legend.
If you guys have access to BBC TV (VPN?) there was a recent episode of the Repair Shop where they restored an old foot pump powered compressor and airbrush. 50+ years old and probably better than a cheap chinese air brush. I always imagined them being a modern thing, but apparently not.
Windsor and Newton brushes QC has gone way down hill. i had their CS exchange a brand new brush that wouldn't hold a point for another brush that only held a point until i used it. i had been using them for years. when i need replacements i'm going with rosemary and co.
I've been using WN brushes for the last couple of years so far I feel like I've been pretty lucky to not get a terrible one. But I ordered 5 of them at the time, so I may just have a good set of them from before any dip in qc. I do need to order more, so we'll see...I'll definitely be reporting in. I haven't tried Rosemary and co brushes, I've heard good things though.

One of the best remedies for Monday morning: new episode of Paint Bravely!
According to the Painting Phase podcasts, the GW artificer brushes are literally series 7. They buy them from winsor and own brand them.

Love your work guys x

oy! I said "pointy" teeth! ... I think... I meant to say pointy teeth. ;-)
Brent skulling the drink whilst Casey desperately trying to recite a respectable outro.
More quality hobby conversation. Thank you

That makes sense, with a large enough tank you can airbrush for quite a while without the compressor kicking in.

Great vid. Love it when you guys get the giggles 🙂

Central Pneumatic is the main Harbor Freight air compressor range
gotta keep an eye out for central pneumatic... 🙂
There it is! Thank you :)
😂 the leader-hair talk was well timed
You know no greater pain than building legions b1 battle droids
that sounds like a nightmare! 🙂
Oh man I can only imagine!
YES! EXACTLY what I needed to start my new orks army for escalation league!
same but for my traitor guard
Ooh orks! Good luck :)
For most satellite communications, I believe that those satellites are in geostationary positions and do not move... but I could be wrong.

Cool as always.

The continuous line of satellites is owned by space x I thought
