The effects of Defensive Stance only apply at the start of next turn. You'll be in for a very nasty surprise if you try to get defensive stance on the same turn that Ishmael staggers. She also cannot maintain defensive stance at all if she has one single skill slot. If you use anything other than her guard when she has Defensive stance will make her lose it the next turn.
with 12 slots solo she can technically give herself around 40-54 defense lvl up next turn and use s2 on that same next turn to get an additional 60 defense lvl up same turn, this is the only id in the game that is capable on their own in normal content to get to 100-140+ defense lvl. It's kinda insane until you remember statuses bypass defense.
I have a question regard the blockma id. What happen if you lose a clash with this ishmael but have her guard queued up? Does it still activate the clashable guard to block damage or make another clash? Also it will be fucking hilarious if PM somehow fuck up this Zwei Sinclair because Sinclair doesn't deserve a decent 00 id till uptie 10

Note that power guards do not actually give you any shields if you lose the clash, it’s a bit different than normal guards still in that regard
