This is a case where the live version is so much better than the studio version. This performance is one of my most favorite. The hand offs are so exquisite and mood is set so well. The live orchestra is just icing on the cake.

For me as musician it's deep emotional heart cry in the music and the voices and lyric's. It's completely beautiful and sad heart cry.

It's a funeral march for the loss of the relationship. Great interpretation and makes so much sense. I love this performance. It never fails to blow my mind that they performed this song, this way at that young age.

Aaron, swear to god, the first time I heard this song I thought you could march to a New Orleans cemetery using this song. listen to the drum, then mixed in with a touch of scat, and jazz. It's a dirge for sure.

♦️This song performed during BTS early 2016 Epilogue tour in Japan, is about when any relationship, like even friendship, or bt family, is built on a weak foundation, like a “house of cards” (which Jin was trying to build during opening part of BTS Run song, which got knocked down ever so easily) it will be so easy to fall, tumble down, song was part of their HYYH songs (2015 - 2017) from bu era, about experiences while growing up. Most all their songs back in early yrs was about all the hardships, struggles, frustrations, disappointments, one has to survive while growing up.
Also BTS sang “House of Cards” (which is one, of the many iconic songs Jimin is known to do his ever so mesmerizingly phenomenal, legendary, filled with emotion, vocals including his high notes in), as well as all other members vocals equally riveting & emotional, was performed right after performing both “Tomorrow” as well as “Butterfly” with aside from equally amazing vocals, also full on intense, absolutely incredibly, ever so breathtakingly spectacular dancing with non stop choreography throughout those songs! This is why they all looked a bit sweaty, while performing “House of Cards”! Being able to perform so phenomenally amazing non stop during all 3 songs, is what puts BTS so on another level in so many ways, for so many reasons, aside from all 3 songs being equally some of my all time fav, most amazing songs ever, from BTS! The HYYH era (one of my most favs), was such an amazing era, though loved all their songs beforehand as well. Actually every era is so special in its own way. 👍❤🔥😍🔥🔥

This is actually one of my favorite songs by the vocal line, I guess because of the emotion they bring and the lyrics. I never thought of it as a funeral march, but I guess if you are equating a relationship to a house of cards, then it really Is doomed so that makes sense. this song is so good! yeah, I guess techincally this would be a re visit, but this is the first time in over a year, I dont know.
It is from their 2016 2nd studio album 'Wings" ... the lyrics explore about the complexities of a failed relationship. HofC expresses the heavy heart of someone trapped in a love that was falling apart while the protagonist questions the authenticity of their relationship. The lyrics convey the feeling of being deceived as if their love was built on fragile footings ready to collapse any second. The House of Cards metaphor emphasises even the slightest whisper or movement could cause everything to crumble, hence the melancholy tone and poignant lyrics.

This vocal line is good all the time, but when I close my eyes and listen to there songs, though the ability is each member is good, I get all the emotion of the songs from Jimin and Jin. The others have all the technical greatness coming out of their, but these two give that and the emotions to the song

they're doing their own background vocals? Last time I saw them live singing, I think on an American show... someone else did all the harmonies and backvocals for them
oh I am sure they have help outside, there is always them singing, there might even be a little bit of backing vocals, its all well supported for sure
So much emotion in the vocals. BTS are unique. Please react to solos. Jimin ‘Smaraldo Garden Marching Band’ and ‘Who’. Suga’s AgustD Trilogy, especially ‘Amygdala’. All very different but outstanding.
