@1:20 "Vitamin C is hiding in white pine needle tea BOB DLUZEN | The Detroit News - [...] Pine needles contain large amounts of vitamin C, and steeping them in hot water releases the nutrient. The tea provides the complete vitamin C complex, not simply isolated ascorbic acid as you would get in a vitamin C tablet.[...]" Thank you for you video !
But vitamin C is very sensitive to heat, especially in non-acidic solutions. I wonder how much is left after brewing a tea? Kudos for emphasizing the complex form of vitamin C, since ascorbic acid allone doesn't really do much for one.
Yarrow is an amazing plant. Chew the leaves and applying as a poltice works on bee stings as a drawing "salve". Dont swallow the juices... Also acts as pain killer. NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE... Just from my own experience. I keep this plant handy. Fresh and dried
i knew that the yarrow leaves worked as a coagulant, but did not know about the flowers or the golden rod. Many thanks for this information. Take care.
All good to know. I forgot about the charcoal. Seems I remember it helps with upset stomach. Is that correct? I think I heard that on another channel. The medicinal and edible plants, in my opinion, don’t get enough coverage in general. But I guess that may be a regional thing. Living in the southeast United States, I may have some different plants than your area or in the western U. S.
My grandmother could walk along a field and come back with a medicine chest. I wish she had written it all down.
