    Well done boys. Great to see another Folkestone trip. Lots of action. I was out on Princes Parade the night before. Double shots of whiting all night.

      It seems to be the staple atm on any deep water mark. Whiting and dogfish rule the roost, but it doesn't bother me too much

    Hi greg you ok mate n hi to the lads, well done on your catch in tuff conditions. Unlooky on losing your conger. I was out thursday n it was slow going just a 30cm dab to save the blank. All the best from GRIMSBY.

    Good video. Not sure casting load on the hook length though.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  Год назад

      That's how the dongle rig works David. It's a rig that allows you to cast a big bait and have it clipped up and use a weak link. Too many people fish a hair rigged bait and call it a dongle rig but it isn't. This is the true dongle ( dingle dangle) rig that they use in South Africa and is their go to rig

      @davidallen7540 Год назад

      @@gsp yes, I've seen it used there. Bull sharks from the shore. I always use a breakaway impact shield myself, gives me some tolerance. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't feel confident putting all the casting load on the hook length. Sort of negates the use of shock leader. I have seen people use it as you do with out issues. I have also seen them break, thankfully without any harm. Great channel always interesting content.

    Circle hooks not great for Conger because they tend to back up with the bait rather than turn on it
