Yep! It was epic this year. I'm working on a 2024 video for Scout. Spoiler: the recommendations aren't much different than 2023

Thank you! This is just the video I needed. I have been surfing the Office wave for years on a Badfish 6' 11" riversurfer. I want to graduate to Scout Wave 2.0 this year. The 6' 11" riversurfer seems to require a wave with a foam pile and just washes off a smooth wave like Scout.

    Hey Ben,
Do you have any reviews for 2024?
New wave, and some of the new boards on the Market. For example, all the New Badfish white boards like Whiskey throttle, wave charmer, DNS, and Libtechs Chop, Crak',n etc...

I'm currently working on content for 2024 including an update for the Scout wave. There are a bunch of new boards, but a lot of them aren't very interesting to me personally. The Wave Charmer and DNS are too long for my liking. The Chop and Crak'n and many of the other Lib Tech wake surfers have very wide tails (which aren't great for rail to rail transitions) and lack a center fix box (I'm not a huge fan of twin fins in the river). The Whiskey Throttle seemed like the perfect board for me, but when I surfed it I felt like there wasn't enough board under my front foot. I'll probably give it another try next year on Scout at different levels.

Big water glenwood what you recommend?

Depends on how "big" it is. For most seasons in the 10-15k range, I prefer either the Lib Tech Freak Flag Bean Bag, or the Badfish Shuvit

    Which lifejacket you use ?

I use the Kokatat Maximus Centurion. It's high floatation for big water, but also isn't too bulky to paddle

Twin fins have always been easiest for 360s. A thruster will give more stability

yep. I find it very difficult to spin with a full size center fin. but a large center fin is great for learning
