1951 Ford F1: Video #17 -- Fender and cab corner painting

The journey with the weird paint on one rear fender and cab corner on the truck continues. We stripped off the brown paint and hit original red, but also some nasty black primer that's apparently indestructible.
I decided to try to recreate a fauxtina look on the fender using vermillion red enamel and brown primer on the cab corner, scuffing them up afterward to fade and blend it in.
Would I have been better off just leaving everything as-is? Maybe... but live and learn!

I had to do this on my rear fenders. I called it my graffiti paint job lol

It's just a mystery to me why a previous owner would paint that one lower fender and cab corner and leave the rest...
