I am a 55-year-old United States Navy rotorhead. The Ford class 🤔 compared to Nimitz class is what we have. The Ford class has a magnetic propulsion cat system and trap system. Obviously updated logistics. Obviously updated aircrafts and no other would do for the Ford class. So it has all f-35 Charlie's on them. I am not happy with A. McNamara philosophy of one for all and all for one. While the USAF continues to broaden its horizons. The USN stays the same 🤔 Nimitz class Carriers have served us well throughout their terms. I truly believe they are 100 Year ships. That is a lot of iron. I know there are 4-year retrofits as they call them maintenance. That's for New logistics and maintenance. The Air Force would love to see the United States Navy out of the picture. The United States Navy just wants to be a team player with the USMC attack ships and bringing them ashore boots on deck. Boots on the ground. I don't know why for the life of me why the USAF has the a-10 warthog rather than the USMC. Upgrade the engines so they can come in low, low and fast and beef up the gear landing gear system. Put them on attack ships and they can be Johnny on the spot with in 30 minutes of a war zone. The USAF cannot keep military standards across the seas. Only the United States Navy can do that. They can be anywhere in the world within 36 hours if they don't have to go through the Suez. The Ford class is not the end-all of all things, but it is an achievement and a stepping Stone to the Future. Every carrier carries its own defenses for air-to-air or if need be agms and Sea whiz things of that nature. Carrier does not want to expose itself with unnecessary ordinance. That is for the strike group and that is why they are made. Not to get off point but the Ford class carries upgraded logistics and it saves wear and tear on the airframes of the aircrafts with the magnetic propulsion cat system and trap system. Allowing the aircraft's frames to produce for a much longer than the standard. Maybe if we upgraded the standard we could really do something rather than babysitting airframes that are supposed to get to without damage of 11 to 12 g's. The propensity of naval aircrafts are dropped from 20 ft as a hole fully loaded to test the landing gear. That is an extra 20K of weight. Not to mention the f-14tc. I really wish we still had the super TC rather than digging out of a shed. A loser in a competition to the 16 F-16 that is and call it the Cobra. Then the hornet throw some logistics and some weak ass engines in them. Thank God for good pilots top gun pilots. Every one of ya. Usn and a USMC. Jam up pilots in the USAF but you just can't get there in time and stay and loiter over a war zone from the lower 48 or Alaska and or the Hawaiian Islands or Japan. The United States Navy is so important to our defense and to our interest here in the states. Commerce, import export also keeping shippings Lanes open and being on top of hot spots of pirates such as Somalia. That's what I'm talking about. 💯🇺🇸⚓

The benefits nuclear power offers can't be said enough, especially if they expect to operate an electro magnetic catapult. You don't want power to be a finite resource on something so critical.

And the supply chain for diesel is a huge strategic downfall. Especially since they don't even have a strike group. There's no possibility of operating long term far from home with a diesel carrier.

Neither does the US. Their last major engagement against opponents that could match them was WW2.

The question here is the nation of china ready to see their own internal revolution to begin. Marines have a lot of these insurgency events where the very few changed the political control
