This was one of the songs that really hit me hard the first time I heard it. Lyrically, it's something i live every day. Constantly fighting my own head to stay on this side of the fence. I am intimately familiar with having to "kill my mind" to stay alive. Another in the same vein as this one is the UG Studios version of Addict With A pen. Such absolute *raw* emotion, and it's in my opinion it's the definitive version of the song.
"Waging my wars behind my face and above my throat"... battling all those thoughts in your head. One of my favorite lines from them and in this song. I love this song, one of my top 3 TÖP Songs
I love this song. It’s still an important part of their live shows. It’s incredible hearing people sing every word. And it is so much fun watching Josh on the drums! I would recommend Heathens next and then I think you are ready to move into the lore, which is a whole other level to TOP. But you need to watch these in order: - Heavydirtysoul - Jumpsuit - Nico and the Niners - Levitate - Saturday - The Outside
Tenacity will get you far, my friend. Migraine is a phenomenal song full of so many gems. There's an official vid for it, too, if you wanna ck it out separately since you already reacted to the Live Room version. This one is a perfect example of how they marry deep, hard-hitting lyrics with upbeat sounds. Really gets you thinking and leaves you with hope at the same time.
