I love Richter's Handel above all others. Have recently happened across Eric Heidsieck's freer, brighter, and perhaps more Romantic interpretation of these suites. I find them quite fresh and appealing, but they don't move me the way Richter does or topple him from his place at the summit. Curious to know what my fellow admirers of Richter make of Heidsieck. i love the way this suite progressively seeks its theme until it finds it at the presto. 😌 probably cheeky handel composed the parts from the end to the beginning.
