No soy pianista, pero con esta obra, aclaro que es el único que pudo superar al gran Bach... No tiene una sola nota en desperdicio, y cada movimiento transmite diferencias absolutas.
In such a performance Handel leaps out of the museum and becomes as much our contemporary as Shakespeare. Richter manages to capture and convey the majesty, delicacy, confidence, struggle, brilliance, spirituality, energy, repose and constantly varying lights and shades of this superb work.
So beautifully put! Yes, this partnership of Handel and Richter is for the ages
Richter is phenomenal! A superb and brilliant performance of this Suite of Händel! All his other Händel Suites are masterpieces. I love them since I discovered them 6 months ago on RUclips.
The late Beethoven is already here at times....
This fugue stands out seems special. I wonder if it's related to the former prelude it is short and has a short subject as well . I thi k it's rare for fugues to come so early I Suites ;then again I don't know Couperin , Frescobaldi, Froburger Fasch , Abel the many that wrote keyboard music. Just jsBach.
Mozart emulated this piece with his gigue in g.
If you're putting up a composer's name, please spell it correctly. You actually managed to get all three names wrong.
It's Georg Friedrich Händel.
The fugue is magnificent, and played with considerable grandeur, Richter manages to get the piano to sound organ like in parts.
thamk you. they are great, aren't they?
yes, they are great !
This is a very important album. I wonder if there is a better recording or if it can be reengineered?.
Love how he makes sure to emphasize the fugue subject every time it enters, no matter the voice. Excellent playing
Gould may have drawn out more inner voices but Richter's austere and straightforward playing is a joy.
marvellous - thankyou
This got a beautiful elegant sound, i love the liveliness of Handel's music.
Why must somebody cough during any performance?
Terence Fong Wait until you get old
It's why I always have CVS sugarless cough drops in my pocket.
@@HoangNguyen-jt8mo What does age have to do with anything. People cough at all ages..dumbass!
It’s an unwritten rule
Richter was great when he was young. Here, he plays mechanically. Compare the Allemande ( 5:53 ) with Philip Edward Fisher's rendition :
