You seemed to focus more on offensive spells in this video. But I found Inner Breathing from the Wood Virtue is extremely strong. The buff seems to last longer than most of the other buffs that I have used, and the Divine Beast Gauge is pretty significant. I can get my Divine Beast back up with only 3 finishers. Also, even without finishers I am still getting my Divine Beast back constantly. Even in boss fights I can get it multiple times in the single fight.
This is good to know. I didn’t put too much stock in that one but could use some more divine beast uses. Imagine you also embed the Jewel/buff that increases divine beast gauge buff
Wondering how people map the different spells to both spell gauges I tend to use the top on for offensive skills and the bottom one for defensive options. However, unless you’re super familiar with your build and know exactly where each spell is in each spell gauge, it can be a bit confusing trying to go back and forth. I’ve been trying out different combos and sometimes I get a little confused when switching between the gauges which spell is in which slot, hence the offense and defensive scheme. But I’m wondering if it’s best to just utilize one gauge and out in 4 of your favorite spells and just go with that. Maybe add in some passive buffs in the other gauge slot to use when you’re not in think if combat and have to really move and decide what to use fast. Just curious everyone’s approach? Obviously I’m sure there’s many factors that contribute to how both of these 4-slot gauges are utilized, including your skill level, what your comfortable with and what your trying to accomplish both offensively and defensively.
I'm not sure about how useful this guide is, simply because the use of damage spells isn't to apply the effect but spam it. Spell until spirit capped, light attack, spell, light attack etc.
Furthermore, in ng+ you won't be using spells for damage except with specific builds that drop your ability to fight efficiently. In other words, if you really want to make magic work, while losing more overall. And if you happen to fight a boss resistant to your element... good luck. (in higher difficulties I mean). In nioh you could apply 2 elements to a target to create a special debuff (confusion iirc) that makes your damage increase exponentially (both physical and elemental). I don't think it's there at the moment in wo long.
I love the spells in the game, however weapon imbues are sooooo annoyingly short - they should make them at least twice as long (I know that you can make build, that increases the duration on your buffs, however it's still very short) :(

So which spells would you say are putting the biggest Damage Over Time on a oppenent and which spell does the most instant damage (guess the ice rain no?)
so i have a question ...does positive effect duration or wizzardy spell durationn increas for example the elemental weapon skill or absorb vitality ....i cant see a diffrent when i put them into my gear via jewles ....somone help XD --__--
The buff stays active for longer that's it. But by the time it wears off, chances are you're at max spirit anyway, so reapplying it doesn't really cost anything except DPS.
@@norzza C’mon, what PC player plays anything with pure keyboard even if the option is even possible? Anyway us K&M players have rated it as the worst console port ever. The game is literally unplayable, I dare you to try it.

So you have a game that is designed to be played with a controller, but somewhat you want to make your life harder and put the blame on the devs? I'll never understand these people. Nioh is even worse on K&M and I don't recall people complaining so much about it. Do I play mmos or first person shooters with a controller? No. Do I play racing games with K&M? Again, no, I'll use a wheel if I can. Some games are better suited for one type of controller, I just use what's best and I don't complain getting killed because he's using K&M and I'm not... People these days...
The Element stat on armor is the defensive buff against enemies with said buff. Wood buff on armor doesent make your wood rating better.

@@nyrva2876 no but the metal phase has an ability that'll convert the debuffs into raw damage, stacking with each debuff/status.

I agree I have to keep puttting them on. But I’ve noticed that if n the “correct” weapon those spells are amazingly good
Absorb Heals you almost completly with a fatal strike.

How do you know if an enemy is a specific element type, because I've had an enemy shoot fire and ice at me lol
