  • In this video, i'm using D2 biological solution to clean a grave for an infant from 1904. I'm also resetting this monument to make sure that it is stable and secure to the foundation.
The restorations of monuments like this can mean the world to a family who cares about their lineage in their ancestry.
If it were possible, I would spend most of my time refurbishing and restoring these headstones. That time has allowed algae and lichens to grow on and make them illegible.
Headstone, cleaning is an extremely satisfying hobby, and the results speak for themselves.
I hope that posting more of these headstone restoration videos that it may encourage others to do plenty of research and help keep history alive. Thank you all for watching, and god bless!

Hi Austin, awesome job cleaning that Headstone for an infant. It is nice that family members are still trying to keep that loved one in memory by maintaining their grave as a remembrance.
It is hard to believe that baby died 120 years ago.

Doing some more of the Lord's work. Thank you for doing that. Fun fact: this baby was born just under a month before my maternal Grandpa was born. My Grandpa was born that April and lived until June 1980. I remember very little about Grandpa other than that we had disagreements about what to watch on TV. I wish he had lived a bit longer so I could have got to actually known him.

That boy would of seen it all from being 14 in ww1 to 97 in 2001.
If he had grand children the stories he would of shared to them.

That little one would have definitely been through a lot of tragic events in the country if he would have lived till 2001 or a little past it, he would have been alive when the Titanic sank , and when the bombing on the World Trade Center happened in 1993 and the terrorist attack in 2001.... and along with witnessing many other horrible events that happened, such as President Kennedys assassination in 1963.

@@josephbennett3482 As I said, he was born a few weeks before my Grandpa was. Grandpa lived until 1980 so he was around for a lot of those world changing events. In addition to all the horrible things good things too like moon landings and such.

Looks FANTASTIC there Sir! I clean headstones as a hobby and I always enjoy learning new tips and tricks! I don't set stones though, I feel that is just something that needs to be approved by the family before doing the more in-depth work. I love D2 though, works like a charm! "Granite CPR" Polish works great too on the "shiny" type of finishes, just polishes things up nicely and has super safe on Headstones. Thank you for what you do my friend, I'm so happy I found your channel. God bless you 🙏🙏💕💕

I have cleaned and repaired probably 70 or 80 of them in the last four orfive years. I always place a current date like a 2024 1/2 dollar coin in between the slabs before I use jointing compound. That we have anybody ever pulled it apart again in 30 or 40 years or 60 years they will be amazed.

You could always use a battery-powered drill with brush attachments to save on your arm. It would also let you clean more stones.

I'm always sad when I see a lamb or blue bird. I know its a baby. I'm from the UWS NYC. If you go down the side of the hill along the Hudson river near Grants tomb, there's an impressive marble head stone from the 1700s of a 5 year old child that fell off the cliff into the river. The Ambiable Child. There's a lovely poem on it. Its hidden and still lost unless you know where to look. Its all alone. The stone calls him The Ambiable Child.

THAT... is all that's keeping a headstone in place?! No proper mortar? no full-contact glue? Just a single bead of glue around the rim? Wow. Our adhesive technology has come a LONG way...

It's amazing how deer made it to the present day at all, running into things, running in front of things, and only ever stopping when something's speeding towards them. If I had to find my personal favourite for stupidest land animal, deers would trump even chickens...

I'd love to meet with you and do a live stream and or do a day in the life of a stone cleaner and funeral set up person on my channel. It would be so awesome. Your company actually built the vault for my grandfather who passed in 1990.
