- ECCO LA PRIMAVERA (Francesco Landini)
Ecco la primavera
che 'l cor fa rallegrare;
temp'è da 'nnamorare
e star con lieta cera.
No' vegiam l'aria e 'l tempo
che pur chiama allegreza;
in questo vago tempo
ogni cosa ha vagheza.
L'erbe con gran frescheza
e fiori copron prati
e gli alberi adornati
sono in simil manera.
Enea Sorini - voice, tambourine
Catalina Vicens - portative organ
Recorded in Basel-Land Switzerland
23rd April 2018
Bravissimi, complimenti!
If only more vocalists would sing early music in such a manner.
A fantastic rendition of this pearl. Enea does the singing clearly, perfectly, professionally, but the way the lady, Catalina is accompanying him is formidable. The smile on her face and the gaze on her face is angelicly devoted and committed to the singer and the music. It is not only worth listening to because of the exciting medieval music but is also worth watching because of the Catalina's attitude. The music is about how easily we can fall in love at spring and the lady's face mirrors every single word from the lyrics. And you'll fall in love with her, unforgivably. One can't help envying Enea for such a brilliant partner. Thanks a million times.
Una bellissima canzone interpretata magnificamente... sublime.
The way Ms. Vicens plays, I feel like I'm hearing Landini on his own. portative organ.
This i so beutiful. She cant take her eyes of him. Then a woman look at you like that you know she love you. He sing like a god...
Syropoulos (Sylvestros) writes, in his Memoirs, that the peoples of Firenze were waiting the Constantinopolitans on the roofs of the city. When the Patriarch entered, they played for them music and “noble women danced various aristocratic dances”. We are in 1438 AD: I am sure that my ancestors listened to this kind of music from the Florentines.
ha ha ha, I would say it was a very explicit performance on the portable organ. Outstanding quality of singing and tons of vital humor!
It is a very explicit instrument, haven't you noticed that about it?
Love it. The joy of the performers 😍
This is so incredibly beautiful! I love this so much!! BRAVO!!! = )
Bellissima voce ....

This is one of my all-time "greatest hit" songs. I love it, and this is a great performance of it. How does Catalina always manage to make the organetto a sexy instrument? Brava!

Get you a woman that looks at you like Catalina looks at Enea!!!
Wonderful. What is that instrument that she plays.
A portative organ
Interesting sounds of music from the early 1300s
Late 1300s
He ahí la primavera.

Very strange and unusual facial expressions by Catalina.
What do they mean ? Almost absurd. They are pleasant but detract from the music itself
Che schifo di canzonee
Non e vero
That is a really bad portative ...
A non sexual instrument played "sexy".
Somehow disgusting.
Esther Wallace are you the worlds expert on portative organs and how one must be played?
Sex brought you here Esther. Try Freud.

The organetto here is very different from the type used by Landini in the trecento. And yes, there are extremely detailed documents from the period on how Landini used to play the instrument. You may also know that Landini was blind.
Her looks and gestures and very unusual
There is nothing "non sexual" about an instrument consisting of about two-dozen phallic symbols.
These expert musicians realized the piece as they saw fit, and obviously had a ball doing it. Maybe we could share in their delight rather than whinging about whether this or that is correct and/or "sexy". Excellence itself is "sexy", if one wants to see things that way. Climb down from your high horse and get a life!
The singing is horrible!
send your ears to a swami or psychiatrist
So is your makeup.
@@alexreik424 Agree...the song is extraordinarily modern... words and music...if you think about his autor, the musician, philosopher and poet Francesco Landini. This man was completely blind from his childhood, in the XIV century, when people didn't feel emotions of pity of respect for disables... but he could talk, without difficulty, about things and images he hadn't ever seen and he wasn't only sensitive...but sensual!
Better perhaps by a counter tenor ?
