Thank you for making this tutorial. The video helped me a lot. My bonnet came out beautiful. Next time I think the only thing that I'm going to do differently. Is when I make my first stitch across the bottom of the "clamshell" or "sleeve". I'm going to leave a 2 inch opening there also. So when my bonnet is formed and it's time to do the casing for the end of where the brakes go out I'll be able to insert the elastic from the outside instead of climbing into the inside. That took a minute for me, maybe not for everyone else but for me. it was a wonderful design and watching your video definitely helps. It was a little awkward because even though I watch the video twice I couldn't envision it. But when I stop trying to understand and simply listen to what you told me to do it made sense by the time we got done. Thank you!
Thank you so much and your feedback, much appreciated. I'm glad you're able to find an easier way for your casing and yes sometimes it's easier to sew along.
Recently was asked to sew bonnet for hair with long extensions. Great instructions and I watched twice prior to cutting fabric. Unfortunately I loved the printed satin fabric but unavailable. Thanks
Thanks for watching...I use 20 inch length for children and the same width as adult but just adjust the size of elastic according (I use 20/21 inch elastic). Hope that helps? Take care
@@sekinatsdiary8454 thank you ... with the 40in width fabric it wont be too much material for a kid between 7-10 years old ? it seems like it would be too much
I think it would be so much better if you were to just make a pattern out of paper or even a cardboard so you don't have to do all that measuring every single time
I don’t understand why people want to change the term dreadlocks, it has a rich and important history attached to it. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and doesn’t stand for dreadful. The term dread in dreadlocks signifies fear and respect for God and also stands for freedom for a true Rastafarian. Just because some colonisers called it a dreadful hairstyle doesn’t make it so. My island has countless dreads and the ones I know have no issue with the term dreadlocks.
Love this! & your so sweet to consider others opinions and emotions because that’s definitely not a requirement.
Thank you x

Thanks for your comment, you're right. I have another video of me making the pattern.
I like both. But it look confusing
Aww sorry to hear to find it confusing, I will still make another video on it breaking it down further soon. Thanks for watching
It really isn't confusing... look at it in parts and you'll get the hang of it.
The bonnet is great but please call our hair loc’s. There is nothing dreadful about me or my hair! Peace
Oh so sorry, I didn't mean it in a bad way as I have loc's as well. I will edit my title. Thanks for letting me know and the compliment.
