is the drifta firepit any good?

good review. i got the red roads one as it came with an aussie made canvas bag and the bottom base plate is stainless steel to reduce rust.

Without having used that one myself, I can see why you would want some more holes down the bottom. Bit of increased airflow wouldn’t go a stray 👍

Good rev👍 I love my fire pit too, it goes on every camping trip. The best thing is you can move your fire around if the weather turns. I like the idea of the table surround. Do they sell them seperate?

Sorry Paul I’m not a fan of drifta, they are stealing snowpeaks design because Snowpeak disowned Luke and his little cry baby kaito, id rather spend the extra coin get the real original snowpeak

Snowpeak may have done the original design but clearly with half a dozen firepits with the same design on the market for several years now Snowpeak either did not patent the design, sold the design or allows others to copy it. Its now just a question of quality of manufacture and price which one people choose to buy I bought a Red Roads one years ago

Agreed, and the Drifta is just a generic made in China item that Drifta resells and probably 10 times the markup.

Agreed, I have had the snowpeak pit for years, been thrashed and still no problems. Pay once... I dont like the surround either, dont want to carry too many bits and bobs and spend time setting it all up, for me at least the pit and grate does everything needed.

Shop around, this is just a cheap made in China firepit with a large Drifta tax.
