    The Honda BR-V VX with Honda Sensing is the only car in its class to come with a full set of ADAS features. But with a premium price tag, is it worth it? Let's find out.

    I'm glad that you mentioned that its Honda Sensing feature is quite limited, especially the absence of low speed follow. So the Adaptive Cruise Control is useless in city traffic. Other reviewers fail to mention this fact. For me, it's a dealbreaker

      @jagurpw while it's true, it's the only car with ACC on its category. So if you need one there's really no other choice but to look somewhere else. I owned the mid variant and highly recommend it over the vx

    I own a BRV of the same variant. I would say its worth it but you have to consider the price premium as not everyone can handle the price. Engine is good in going up the mountains even when loaded with 7 adults and bags. Fuel economy you can expect 9-10km/l on standstill edsa traffic while 11-12km/l on normal city driving up to 40kph. Highway u can expect 19-22km/l depending on how throttle happy you are. Baggage space when third row is up is very small so do keep it in mind. And you can put up the rear cargo tray in level with the folded 3rd row seats so its flat. Honda sensing saved me a few times from crashes but do keep in mind that its pretty limited especially in traffic since it doesnt have low speed follow. Nvh too can be a dealbreaker for some as it can get quite noisy especially with those open pipe motorcycles.

      Yes Hondas are priced above Toyotas but it's because of quality (more powerful engines, superior build quality like plastics in interior), better/ sportier styling (others are boring ex. Ertiga) etc.
      If you want the cheapest car get a China or Toyota. But if you want the perfect package: powerfulengine (they supply engines to F1 teams), sportier styling, higher quality interiors, fuel efficiency, high resale value, then get a Honda!

      SUV is a loose term

    • @Stavridis-pd5ci
      @Stavridis-pd5ci 4 месяца назад +2

      It is legally classified by LTO as a sub-compact SUV. You may say SUV is subjective, but cannot deny that is its official classification.
      It has the most powerful engine in its class (vs Avanza, Xpander, Ertiga, even Rush) has high torque so good for uphill climbs, better interior like plastics, superior build quality, decent ground clearance (higher than Ertiga, Avanza), and still has good fuel efficiency (23km/L highway). So that justifies its higher price tag

    • @troy5568
      @troy5568 Месяц назад +1

      In our LTO registration certificate of our BR-V VX, it is registered as "S-CUV" which probably stands for Sports Crossover Utility Vehicle. Essentially, it is a crossover of SUV and MPV, just like the likes of the Xpander Cross.

    Ok ang honda experience per engine performance, though km/li is not as economical as promised and goes worst later. In terms of physical durability e g. Paint quality ( peels and becomes loose easily) Lower arm assembly, head lights, my brv experience is very bad. In less than 2 years with minimal use, these items were found suddenly defective already, although not sure if the casa did something wrong bec sadly honda gh doesn't care a bit, that's another thing. Just sharing real life experience for those trying to try honda in spite of their marketing ploys.

      It is a clean, timeless design. After 10 years it will still look good. You buy a car primarily for its reliable engine, good styling, good build quality, and efficiency - which the BRV has.
      Your China car with sunroof, big touch screen, and useless eye-candy features will be worth nothing if after 5 years it breaks down, or has no spare parts. And when you sell it, you only get less than half what you paid for it because it is junk. Japanese cars you can get 50% or more even for Honda after 10 years ;)
