Since you are the Brandon Sanderson expert, a video idea would be going through each of his books, the order of his series and where to start for those of us who want to read his work but have no idea what to pick up first. I love your videos 😊🥰
Tonya Potter yess that’d be really helpful!
Tonya Potter I recommend starting the final empire it’s so good and if u like it then u can read Any series

I bought more books last week jokingly saying “I need to be prepared in case I have to self isolate”. One week later, I’m very, very glad I did.
Yes! Everyone is posting a video related to what do to while stuck at home and I've been waiting for yours!! Now I'm excited. I hope you stay safe, love you!
I neeeeeed all the stuck at home tips and same to you!!
Thank you!! ❤
me wanting to get all the books
my 50 books on my shelf that I haven’t read:
‘don’t do it,dooon’t do it im warning yo-
me: already slowly adding them in my cart
i literally have like 22 books sat out that i need to read but instead i’m just buying more ... life of a reader i suppose
I sort of fell away from a lot of booktube the past couple years - just because I was busy. But it has become such a safe, calming space for me during this whole Buffoonery. Especially your channel. Thank you so much for you videos!
I work in healthcare, so no “working from home” for me. 😭 But I am still trying to get lots of reading done during this time. We’ll see!
It's because of people like you that the future will exist! I really do hope you be able to pan out things and balance them. Thank you so much for whatever you are doing, ma'am. We could really not do anything without you.
Thanks for your work !
Thanks for your time and humanitarian work
Thank you for your work. Sending love!
Thank you for all your hard work!! 🤗🤗
your video made self-quarantine A LOT more bearable ❤️ much love
I was so happy to see the notification for this video! I love your recommendations 😊 I couldn't agree more for huge fantasy books, Words Of Radiance has been on my tbr for incredibly long and I've finally started it this week 😄
Can't remember the last time one of my fav booktubers posted a recommendations video...THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!
Thank you for this video! I am so excited to participate in the readathon this weekend! I haven't filmed in MONTHS and this is the perfect way to vlog!! I loved the Seven Realms series and am currently on Book 2 Shadowcaster and I am really enjoying it so far!!
I'm SO happy that you and Clay are home safe & sound! I've been thinking about you guys & wondered how you were! Awesome recs, as always!!🤗
I've been waiting for this type of content! I personally am not stuck at home because I work in an office with less than 5 people at any given time... But I've still been really excited for book content related to being stuck at home haha
I love it that you have so many different, not so popular books which I haven't heard of but still sounds intriguing! Helps me try out different books ❤️
great video regan!! i would love a nonfiction recommendations video if you have any that youve been loving! with the social distancing happening and the summer right around the corner, i want to keep my brain stimulated!!
This was so wonderful! I'm definitely making more time to read whilst everything feels so overwhelming- thanks for this!
Hope you, Clay, and those close to you are safe! Xxx
Thank you for reminding me to donate. I was so caught up in my own struggles and organisation to work from home that I completely forgot. Great video! Stay safe :)
Hi Regan!!
This isn't on the list, but I started Keeper of the Lost Cities on the cusp of my social distancing last week because I've watched so many vlogs of you reading it. Well... I got hooked, and I'm already on Neverseen. I'm going to be "working from home" (a.k.a. checking email every hour because there's not much I can do from home) and these books are perfect for all of my free time. They're so easy, and I'm obsessed with the characters *cough* Keefe *cough*. Thanks for introducing them to me!!
The Nightingale is one of my favorite books... SO GOOD... Had me in tears!
Yes I needed this video! Reading really helps with the stress right now. I agree fantasy is my favourite right now to escape from the whole panic going on right now. Stay safe and healthy everyone 😇
Sammme fantasy is always the best but now more than ever!
Book Mistress I actually do go out for walks with my dogs lol
Yes I agree so much!! Also, love your profile pic💜💜
Brooklyn Clontz haha thank you fellow army 💜
Got some recommendations on my channel as well if you are keen!
I’m currently reading City of Dreaming Books so I was super happy to see it mentioned here!! It really is an amazing story.
Thanks for the recommendations! I definitely agree with you about how great the Stormlight Archives series is -- the three books out now could get someone through perhaps a week of this! My daughter lives in NYC too -- stay safe and healthy!
Love all the books you spoke about, so Thankyou! Everyone is trying to slow down and just be with what is . Great time for Reading, crocheting, knitting etc.
Ive followed you for such a long time. I love your channel so much, I adore your videos especially you’re reading vlogs they are the best! I think your so inspirational. I’ve read so many amazing books because of you! I would be so lost without books & booktube! 😍🥰📖📚💗💗💗 Thank you so much for making booktube videos! 😍💗💗💗
Stay safe and sane Reagan! I know I'll definitely be reading more now that I'm at home more often!
Love that you did this! My uni just switched to internet based lectures so great timing with the book recs, it's scary how global corona is, I live in sweden and i'm experiencing the same things you guys are experiencing over in the US.
On the topic of the next stromlight archive book coming out later this year - would you consider doing a spoilery reading vlog like you did with the final Throne of Glass book? I get that a spoilery vlog probably gets less views than a non-spoiler one, but it would be so interesting hearing your thoughts along the way and being able to have a spoiler filled discussion in the comment section!
Thanks for making this video. I, too, suffer from anxiety, and this crisis has aggravated it immensely. Your video helped distract me and inspired me to use this nervous energy to help me get through my TBR. Stay safe.
I'm LIVING for these kind of videos right now!!
Me: I wanna read, not do school from home.
Reagan: Here are some good book ideas
Me: School work can wait
Books With Kaitlyn same with work stuff! do I need to work during work hours while at home...dooooo I?
All the Light We Cannot See is my fav historical fiction.
I'm so happy to see you recommand City of Dreaming Books. I rarely see Moers recommmanded outside of germany and City of Dreaming Books is my favorite of his. It's one of my absolute favorites so I'm super happy to see it here!!
same :)
I’m literally out of school for a month so this video was very much needed!
I’m so early😆! I started The Way of Kings because I saw it on your reading vlog and I’m almost finished. I have to say I think it is my new favorite book!
YESSSSSS
Oooh! I read Way of Kings last month, now I'm reading Words of Radiance and I'm in love!
My favorite series in a long time. (Also, Kaladin is awesome) ❤❤❤
Codruta Maria Kaladin is one of my favorite characters ever!
so great 🥺 thank you for being so positive during this time
A historical fiction novel that inspires one to persevere and get past one's weaknesses is the perfect thing to read under the current circumstances! (All the light we cannot see)
I would also recommend The Kite Runner by Khaled hosseini if you wanna get all emotional in this dark time😍😍😍
Hi, I’m Patrizia from Italy. Thanks for this video, it means a lot for me. I have been in quarantine since the last week and I need some reading recommendations. Your video are amazing, as usual. Thanks again. A hug... from the distance.
Un abbraccio dalla Romagna 💓 buone letture da quarantena!
@@froncifresh dalla Romagna anche io! Ci abbracciamo tutti ... da lontano!
I like you continue sharing positivity and hope you'll get through your anxiety 😇
You’ve inspired me to add Claire North to my wish list as I’m currently on a book buying ban. Thanks for the recs. Stay healthy & safe.
For the Claire North books, I REALLY recommend the audiobooks! They are terrific! Especially the Harry August one!
I'm currently reading The Way of Kings! I'm going to read the second immediately after but then wait and read the third one closer to the release!
I also started working from home last Tuesday. Before the community quarantine was implemented in my city in the Philippines, I bought The Toll so I'm rereading from book 1 before I read it.
The books you recommended sound so good! What a great collection of books
Thank you so much for this list! Some great suggestions!! I can’t seem to concentrate, so hopefully this will help
I absolutely love your recommendations! 💙💙 I'm definitely going to pick up the Brandon Sanderson series.
Camus' The Plague is perfect for right now, would be good in that "historical" fiction category. Basically looks at an Algerian city quarantined during an imagined plague. Camus being an optimist shows the hardship but how solidarity can emerge during that hardship.
A good fantasy series that I rarely see being recommended is the Spook's Apprentice by Joseph Delaney . If you are a fan of witches, goblins, ghosts and all that good stuff you'll absolutely love it !
No need to say that I love your channel, so wish it had a video everyday that we are in this social distancing!!
Glad you're staying safe! Touch by Claire North is also great - some people have the ability to jump their consciousness into other people's bodies!
Hi Regan, I hope you are safe and well. Thanks for these recommendations. Can't wait to read them! :)
If you’re a Sanderson fan, and you love something whimsical, if you haven’t read them yet, read his Alcatraz series. They are SO good!
I’ve been reading so much! Some of my favorites from the past week have been Tweet Cute and Of Curses and Kisses. I’m contemplating picking up Crescent City next to spur more fantasy😂 I’m really wanting to read All the Light We Cannot See soon
Thank you so much!! Ive been looking all over for some good fantasy recs, id love to hear about anymore you like or think we should read!! Epic or anything!!
First, I am so happy you enjoyed Devil and the White City. I loved that book when I read it in college a few years back and it's so cool that one of my favorite BookTubers enjoyed it too. :)
A trilogy I recommend if you want an entertaining read that's dark but also has some of the more classic YA tropes is The Madman's Daughter trilogy by Megan Shepherd. The trilogy actually has low-key Fullmetal Alchemist vibes for me even though it is a historical fiction mostly. The main character is really compelling. The side characters are interesting. And it's just a really solid trilogy. The third book is not as great as the first two books, but all of them are fast enough reads that the slight storytelling dip in the third book isn't too much of an issue.
And another book I read that I found out about and loved thanks to this channel was An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson. Perfect escapism. Literally read it in a day. It's perfect for people who are still a little bit intimidated by larger books. It's cute and dare I say...enchanting. Anyway, thank you for all the lovely recommendations, Regan! :) Keep being fabulous! God bless you and Clay. :)
Thank you so much for this! I just got into reading and was looking for book suggestions and this really helped me so thank you xx
the way that you talk about books makes me want to read every single one of them even if i have little to no interest in that particular genre. i applaud you.
New Yorker here as well (Long Island). Scary and sad times for sure. Hope you’re staying safe Regan ❤️
Yey Walter Moers! I've never seen the English version of the city of dreaming books, it's so cool that you have read it :)
I just finished Way of Kings and I plan on reading the rest of them while I have the chance. I want to read them all before the new one comes out! I also picked up the Black Prism to read soon.
I LOVE Walter Moers books! They are so underrated! If you like City of Dreaming Books, you should check out some of his other titles too like The 13 and 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear, Rumo and His Miraculous Adventures, and The Alchemaster's Apprentice!
Ooooo will have to take a look at some of these books! I’ve never really completed a fantasy series, will have to try it
So happy right now that I am a book hoarder right now! My Husband would always shake his head at me when he saw me come home with books from the library instead of reading my own books. I was just waiting for a time like this to read all my own books. I definitely will not run out of anything to read, that's for sure! My shelves are stocked.
Bookaholic Banter haha I’m there. We load up on books and have a ton in our library. Also during Xmas season I buy 15+ books on kindle because they’re are super cheap so it holds me over for a while. Plus kindle unlimited deals. Too many to do.
Thank you for these recomindations
I'm happy you managed to celebrate your brother's wedding! A big hug from quarantined italy 💓
Hi regan. I’m reading Fleishman Is In Trouble now. Enjoying it so far. QUESTIONS! 1. I’ve never listened to books. Which do you recommend as a first listen. 2. I’ve not read a fantasy book yet in my 60+ years. Which do you recommend as a first read. I enjoy your reviews, you are adorable to watch and listen to. 😊. Happy reading.
Hi, loved this video, your recommendations are always incredible and I want to read every book you've ever talked about aha! I was wondering if you had any good middle grade recs? Stay safe xx
You should totally look up Pages and Co: Tilly and the Bookwanderers by Anna James - if you like Nevermoor, you'd definitely like it!
hey regan, it would be very helpful if you could list the books that you talk about in a video in the description! 😊 i'm def gonna check some of these books out. stay safe
Honestly just watching ur videos calms the anxiety
appreciate u 💓 also u mentioned on ur ig stories about a possible social distancing readathon, are u still thinking about doing that? 🥺 I think a lot of ppl would be really down for it
I want that right now!!!
Madyson White She posted on Instagram again, it is A-GO!
What’s special about a social distraction read a thon? Just... read what ever is on your TBR.
Thanks for the recommendations. I would add "The Great Waves of Change" and "The Allies of Humanity" by Marshall Vian Summers.
I read the Briefings of the Allies of Humanity and I love them. It's fascinating and these briefings are a wake up call for us too.
Gurll, I‘ve been waiting for that content 😂
I read Name of the Wind and Way of Kings last year because of you..... and they became my favorite books of ALL time.
You should host a quarantine readathon! I think it’d be nice to have a day of reading since I can’t go anywhere.
This is the best Vlogger I have ever seen this girl is so good about book......thank you..
Hey!! Thanks for the recs
The anxiety and the cabin fever is kicking in for me. Thank you for the recommendations ❤️
Thank you so much for your recommendations!!! Regan May I please suggest something? How about you make some kind of an intro and outdo for your videos with music etc... think about it. Again, thank you!
it is cute looking at covers of books from abroad, i realise they are so different one from another.. and u know in Rissia there are just several series, they are either with grey paper or cost >2 times more! but they are cheap here :)
Please do a ‘if you like this, you’ll probably like this’ video! 💕
I finally read The Way of Kings! And jumped right into Words of Radiance! Just got through part one and I ... I just can’t believe B Sands still knows how to surprise me. Lol. I was going read Elantris before continuing on with the series but I just couldn’t wait, so here I am, lol.
Thank you for your recommendations.I added some of them to my tbr.
But what’s on your quarantine TBR? Also the city of dreaming books is a part of a series as far as I can tell. AND the writer has an interesting backstory
I'm thinking that station 11 is going to be the best idea should I ever remember to pick it up. A book ahead of its time, I think.
Im reading The Way of Kings right now. Its been on my TBR for over a year and I tried to listen to the audiobook way back then and couldnt do it. Reading it physically is much better but it is one hunka book. Its a biiiig boy. Taking me weeks to get through it.
Maybe now is the time for me to challenge Priory of the Orange Tree 😂😂
Your Video is awesome and really helpful. Thank you for keeping up the spirit! ❤🙏❤
My problem rn is I read the first book or first two books I have in a series and now have to buy the sequels. I’m debating starting lies of loch lamora, or way of Kings. But I’ve just read the name of the wind, and the first two books in the first law trilogy. Is it to many series to read simultaneously lol. So many different characters and worlds to remember.
Thanks for the video! I discovered many books. I am kind of in the mood for a YA historical fantasy book, something along the lines of Fawkes by Nadine Brandes (i guess HSKSJ). Do you have any recommendations?
For some reason I’m having such a hard time wanting to read lately and finishing up the book I’m reading. Yet I still watch tbr videos and add them to my list
you should provide an amazon link with the title in your description! btw ive subscribed!
Anyone’s library closed ?
yeah time to hit up overdrive
Julia mine. Depending on overdrive as well
Yep. Using the libby app. Lol.
Wish I had a library nearby!😢😢
They are all closed in Canada 🥺
i would love if you could do a political ya fantasy rec video!! fantasy with really strong political aspects are always favorites of mine
Lightbringer + Brandon Sanderson fan here! Great recommendations! Which recommendations would you make for someone having trouble focusing these times?
Ah this is what i am just looking for ! Thanks for the recommendations!
Love your recommendations! I already listed a lot on my notes ehehe
