The original recon/Retaliator is still the best of the recons in my opinion
the only thing I like about the delta trooper, is that when you take the barrel off you have a comfortable decent looking from your view place to put your non dominant hand
The "original" Elite blue Retaliator is still my favorite, althought I would settle for white.

I agree with your disappointment in this line. My biggest disappointment with this series is the stupid elite darts. By the walls (a slap on titan reference), they seriously need to get rid of the elite dart design and make accustrikes permanent. They’d be a bit pricier sure but at least they’ll hit what you’re aiming at. Plus, the overall design disappoints me too, I wish the modulus series and accustrike series stuck around. I don’t think they’re doing anything with it now which is sad.. and the “new” elite stuff is highly unattractive to me. I miss the aesthetic of the old blasters.
The big W I can take from the Echo is the gaping hole of the barrel, much less impact on FPS than any genuine nerf barrel before it

The recon had the pop up sight, a “tactical” light and a stock which could hold a 6 round clip, the retaliator had a wonderful front grip and a complete redesign inside, including a direct plunger which more than doubled its ranges compared to its predecessor, but from then on the rest have been complete trash, the delta trooper lost the front grip and the tac rail on the top prime slide without any innovation whatsoever and this one is just the exact same but rebranded

@@goldie0513 it is functionally a magazine, a clip is, by definition, any device which 'Charges' a magazine, be it internal or removeable, with projectiles, a Magazine, is by definition, a device which feeds cartridges or projectiles into the breech/chamber of an airgun, firearm, or other self powered projectile flinger, I'm fairly certain no one think's they're "Cool" by correcting an error in semantic and syntax, they're trying to *educate* you.

Only good reason to get the blaster is the barrel. It has 4 tactical rails! Even more than the Modulus UCP barrel, though the UCP barrel is more streamlined.
Also echo is a pretty cliche name as the Recon type blaster has been re branded over and over. Like an echo sounds like the repetition of sound that slowly gets quieter, like the freshness of these Recon reskins getting more stale.

I really want Hasbro to make a Jolt style of mag-fed blaster, in the sense that its as small as possible for the type of blaster it is, because It seems like every time we get a new recon clone, they just make it longer and maybe slightly less tall, when you really would want it to be as short as possible in pistol mode.

I think the stock issue might be subjective, Drac is slightly above average height and has a slightly above average wingspan contrasting with me who is a below average heighted adult male, the Echo looks like it'd decently comfortable to shoulder if you've got a smaller frame.
Cant wait for Drac to review the Warden and get pissed on how it breaks🤣🤣🤣

Jam the reason we are so propostered is because these blasters aren’t on store shelves, and most of them haven’t even been released yet.
I found this one in Target yesterday in New Jersey, and strangely enough, the only copy left on the shelf had a bug trapped between the plastic on the barrel. some people have identified it as a Chinese roach. So it probably happened while manufacturing. #1 Blaster Brand with questionable quality control 😅

Definitely need a mod guide for this one because i cant open it up on the stock attachment point, which is welded together or already casted as one piece.

Recons are cool. I love my Gear Up Retalicon. Sleeper breech, upgraded spring. Not the newest tech, but it gets the job done better than anything Hasbro puts on shelves.
It kinda hurts to see where nerf is now. Ive been out of the hoby since the beginning of elite so coming back now is quite a shock.
I honestly dislike the mag release system of newer Hasbro blasters as it goes against the muscle memory I have for trigger discipline.
I hope you manage to find this comment Drac, if you ever make a video on the Elite 2.0 "Surgefire", if you could pair the attachments from the Echo to it and showcase it, that'd be really swell

STANDARD DOES NOT EQUAL PAR! STANDARD IS AVERAGE, PAR IS THE GOAL. 70 FPS is not the Elite standard it is the Elite Par, because most stock elite blasters do not fire as fast. Therefore, a blaster that fires slightly above 70 FPS consistently is not standard, it is above PAR.
It could replace the delta trooper, retaliator and even the recon but, never, never the alpha trooper

I like the colors, aesthetics aren't terrible, but I'm not sold on top prime "rifle" style blasters. So far I think only the Warden is worth any interest to me.
The Recon/Retaliator barrel at least made it easy to add 3D print pump grips

The recon is the same thing as the retaliator, and that is the elite 2.0 version of the delta trooper
Hard pass on this one since I already have both Recons and a Retaliator and gave away that junk Delta Trooper. Would be nice to be able to get a not overpriced new Longstrike or a full sized new Longshot (with the front barrel gun unlike the Zombie Strike one).
Couple ideas for you to ponder over:
1. Could you possibly put a bug in Hasbro's ear to make a website where we can buy our selection of attachments? I'd like to get about 6 more of the barrel extensions and the magazine holders from the Demolisher Customizer Pack but can't find them without the full UCP on Ebay. I'm sure others would like this as well.
2. I can't be the only one who is curious about how you got to be such a big name in the community... future video idea maybe?
In terms of mag releases, I also prefer them outside the trigger guard. Nothing wrong with them in there and no real problems except the sensitivity of it. It needs to be firm enough to not come ut with a light tap, but not so firm that you bruise your finger pushing it. So think Raptorstrike where it was actually well designed and competently built even if the internals are just a rehashing.
I wanna see this thing cracked open; it's essential to know how these are to mod.
I have no issues with trimming fat and reducing costs when your product is doing the same job. That should transfer to the consumer in some way though, either a cheaper blaster, or a new dart, or new innovative products elsewhere in their range. Right now it seems like all Hasbro can do is lean on their past dominance.
