Yes, 1986, even though the original is from the 60's. What a great song to hear again today. Só many variants and remixes, either way, an awesome song!! Now I'm going to have it stuck in my mind for a while💃🤍🪽
Los Bravos did a great job performing and producing this song, but I thought you might like to know the story of the true songwriter who gets zero credit for writing your epic hit and one other song performed by The Hollies. My father, Ralph Colangione, was a 17-year-old U.S Marine waiting to ship out to Vietnam. His long-time girlfriend, Carrie Ann, broke up with him by letter. Ralph and his marine buddies had formed a band, so he wrote songs to help heal his broken heart. Ralph played these songs in a bar one night in Los Angeles, CA, unaware that Nancy Sinatra was in the bar. She loved his songs, so he coordinated a meeting with her record company, RCA. The RCA rep suggested Ralph sell all of his rights to the songs BLACK IS BLACK and CARRIE ANN, and instead receive a lump song for them, “because he didn’t know if he would come back from Vietnam.” My father was the oldest of 8 children, so he decided to take the cash to send to his mother. Ralph Colangione survived the war, but he lost the battle with RCA who had assigned 6 songwriters who get the credit for his two songs. He struggled throughout the years supporting his five children, while others got the royalties to his hit songs. I am an award-winning singer/songwriter who went to Berklee College of Music. I have written over 300 songs, but none of them will ever be as popular as the songs of my unsung hero, my father, Ralph Colangione. God Bless!
Tem uma coisa muito boa nessa reimaginação dos anos 60 feita em um molde dos anos 80. Tanto cinematograficamente (O filme Hairspray) quanto musicalmente (a a partir do cover)
Love this song. 1985 / 86 if I recall

This version is actually from 1986. Los Bravos released later versions of this classic in 2006, 40 years after the song originally came out.
The actual version was in 1967 by Los bravos.
@@papaloukazbehram212 If you read what I said, I said that, and it actually was from the late summer of 1966, not '67.
@@papaloukazbehram212 THIS version was done in 1986. It was a remix of the original.
@@WaltGekko you've didnt mention 1966,i was referring to original one in 1967.
@@papaloukazbehram212 Where you are it may not have been a hit until 1967, but in the US it was a hit in the late summer of 1966.
Sarah Collins singing this I found her after hearing this on an episode of Mayans mc. Very good, I binged on all her songs after that.
