To even be allowed to play a concert, the band members had to register themselves as musicians at a State institutions, and submit their lyrics to get a green light from the censors. I was born in 2002 and I love 1920s-2000s music blues, rock, heavy, reggae, jazz, swing, rockabilly, pop, etc. People always tell me why I feel so nostalgic about eras and times I never grew up in, well in reality it's because I really did grew up on these eras of music. My dad would show me cassettes of MTV, Top of the pops (Jimmy Savile days included ), Ed Sullivan show and American Bandstand with Dick Clarke (RIP) and Freddy Cannon and I would just sing along as a kid. This doesn't include road trips with my dad, the movies he would show me and the parties. I'm proud to say I lived through these eras in my own way. I also enjoy the music of today since it will allow me to build my own identity of my generation. You folk grew up on some great music and times not gonna lie. I am a 13 year old and I live in France but I spend every summer in Long Island, where my dad would play this song pretty often, so every time i hear it, it brings back a huge wave of memories and nostalgia and I’m really lucky I get to experience those memories and nostalgia every summer. I guess I can’t call it nostalgia if I still experience it but it just reminds me of when I was little and it really warms my heart.

Man I adore the theatrics, the drummer giving it a bit of flare, the singer having a jig, the bassist and guitarist absolutely living it up and just loving it. Then to top it all off the manager getting swallowed alive by a sea of giddy fans. Absolutely one of the more under-appreciated bands of the 60s

Those were the days when all nationalities were in the all the countries of the world charts. Nowadays there is no one to scream for. Great memorable dance music. We used to feel so secure that these groups will here forever with their songs but they are still heard. Thank God for that.

Man I adore the theatrics, the drummer giving it a bit of flare, the singer having a jig, the bassist and guitarist absolutely living it up and just loving it. Then to top it all off the manager getting swallowed alive by a sea of giddy fans. Absolutely one of the more under-appreciated bands of the 60s

Those were the days when all nationalities were in the all the countries of the world charts. Nowadays there is no one to scream for. Great memorable dance music. We used to feel so secure that these groups will here forever with their songs but they are still heard. Thank God for that.
