Shibori Ice Dye Method

Is it still a shibori if you don’t dip it let’s find out!

I used fire engine red, lemon yellow, and medium blue. I used jacquard soda ash for a 30 minute soak and sprinkled some more in between the dye and the ice. I left it overnight, added ice after first melt then batches for 24 hours.

Did you put the dye on the folds or on the flat/smooth sides?
Did you flip and add more dye?

I placed the dye on the folds, no I didn’t flip and add more. I’m curious how it will turn out if I did that though..
