If it’s only two days probably not as u will alr have the free Ticino card provided by the hotel and u will get free bus and train transport within Lugano and the surrounding cities. U will also get a 20% discount for mountain excursions to monte bre/ San Salvatore etc.
Navigation company on Lake Maggiore (Verbano): intermediate stops are allowed only on the Swiss basin, such as with trains and postal buses; on the Italian basin, once disembarked, the single journey ticket is no longer of any value and is non-refundable, the same with long-distance Italian trains.
