I really hope Big Dill going 3 minutes against Mad Catter (and dominating it at points) helped secure its future appearance - it's got a really great, hardworking, team behind it

This is one of those fights where its so cool to watch being such a good fight that I don't even care who is declared the victor. Quality even entertainment.

I do like that Discovery is uploading good decent fights but sometimes it wasn't available in the Philippines. It's the battle of former teammates between Big Dill and MadCatter. Oh Yeah! Bring It On!
One of the best fights of the year so far. Big dill may be 0-3 but it won my heart in this fight. If it was more reliable it could’ve been 2-1 instead of 0-3

@@tomojpeg Not exactly... They would've had to use a hammersaw attachment to reach over their wedge, but it broke down, so they weren't able to use it.

The smoke tells the story, but man Big Dill got by far the most explosive showy hit. Great match.
Pretty sure all the smoke was just from Big Dill's tires. Just look at the thick black skidmarks it left behind on the floor.
Really good fight for both teams. Big Dill demonstrating that their vertical spinner fork configuration has potential and Mad Catter getting another win and securing their spot in the 32. If Big Dill can work on its reliability, they have a potentially dangerous bot for next season.
They still have Free Shipping to face. If they clobber it, then they could end up back in the game.

One of the best fights I've seen in a long while!
Great fight, Madcatter and Big Dill trading hits and lasting till the end. However Big Dill was the surprise since it survived against Madcatter which itself is a pretty dangerous machine.
This new Big Dill as just that: A new Big Dill, and it's worth it!
It stinks that spinners are one of the only ways to win, but at the same time, this really improved the Bot for the best. I was surprised the vote was unanimous - I expected it to be split! But both teams put up a good fight, and I am always super stoked to see MadCatter and Martin's next fight. Love his character, and would totally go watch just to strike their signature pose! :P

I think you need to do 50% better than a well known bot if you are a rookie. You've got to win by a significant margin before the judges will give you the win.

That was one of the best in a LONG time
biggest problem with vertical spinners, is that they put it too far back, so often they are not able to even hit their enemy. i only saw one vertical spinner bot that had moving spinner, so they were able to change the distance, unfortunetely it was unreliable and i dont even remember which bot it was. would be cool to see competitive level vertical spinner with ability to move the spinner back/forth with force, basically like a punching machine with spinner.
altho this fight was still amazing, i respect those who are able to build bots that can withstand such punishment. most bots would stop working after like 1-2 of those hits, but they just kept on going!

Its funny that there are 3 people with a controller but the mini bots drive like one person is controlling all 3.

What's up with the sound in this one?
I wish BB would stage "fight to the death" fights. In this case it would be interesting to see which one would be the last bot standing
I'm not sure the builders would be very comfortable with that. Some of these robots cost $30,000 or more, and they often have to repair after multiple fights in a day.
There's a reason why the drivers back off when their opponent stops moving. To avoid damage to their own bot, and as a sign of goodwill.
That’s nice for budding engineers want to show off their toy project. In a competition I expect people to be trying to win. It devalues robotics as a sport to play nice.

@@WittyDroog Spectators fund the sport, the action must appeal to them. Nothing is stopping you from making a robot in your back garden. No one is gonna pay ticket prices to watch it being driven in circles though.

When teams put in thusands yo make and build the robots to ofent get destroid? (I want to see more, but i have a suspicion that there is onlu one winner... The TV network. 😞

What do the mini bots actually do? Doesn't seem like much
I think they act more as a distraction than anything...though not sure most drivers even pay attention to them anyway.

Why BigDill don't won this battle?
Unpopular opinion, big dill won this match, mad catters only real moment was the finaly minute or so, but even then big dill was fighting back, idk what the judges watched here, nontheless is was a great fight
The way I see it, it was
3-2 for Madcatter damage
2-1 For big dill control
2-1 For mad catter aggression

They add distractions and a mini wedgebot can still highside a heavyweight, allowing the main bot to go in for a free hit so it's another thing a driver has to pay attention to.
Also it's just added fun to watch a 3lbs minibot get absolutely rekt and yeeted by a heavyweight spinner.
Big Dill had a bad driver. Constantly over rotating exposing the back.

I'm a big fan of BattleBots ... but they ain't robots, just cool RC smashing machines. "Robots: a machine-especially one programmable by a computer-capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically." (Wikipedia) I'd love to see these things graduate to being real robots.
