FLPD: ROBBERY BY SUDDEN SNATCHING (PR# 2014-047) www.flpd.org

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 1:39 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27th. The robbery occurred outside a pizzeria located at 1103 South Andrews Avenue in the City of Fort Lauderdale.
A patron of the restaurant was sitting outside eating lunch, when an unknown suspect snuck up from behind and grabbed her purse from a chair next to her. The suspect then ran to an awaiting vehicle and fled from the area.
Detectives retrieved surveillance footage from the business which captured the entire incident, including the suspect's getaway vehicle.
The suspect is described as a B/M, in his 20's, approximately 5' 10" in height, 160 pounds in weight, with a short cropped haircut. The suspect was last seen wearing a red hat, red t-shirt, shorts, and white and black sneakers.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a newer model, possibly 2013 or 2014, silver Chevy Cruze or Chevy Malibu with an unknown license plate.
