Been playing since ow1 beta but these guides make me realize the core ideas behind every hero I was just kinda "feeling out" over the years. So many guides boil down to just duel tips, but this gives you a real gameplan 👌. Good stuff as always
Most guides just say what the abilities do they don't tell you how the character plays. They're really low quality.

Not a bad guide, I’d say i don’t really like the custom game though its only good for the first 5-10 hours to learn the basics of blading, when u can dash etc. but i think many people overrate how useful it is and just end up spending way too long in this scenario. Also i think playing for your tank and peeling for them by maybe jumping in front deflecting and falling back is a completely fine way to play, and something i tend to do quite often since its free ult charge

I started playing Genji again and I'm really curious if what I'm doing is correct. I like taking paths behind the enemy lines when available and then sneaking up and assassinating healers. I play a lot of league of legends and I realized I had to think about OW more like that game instead of call of duty where I'm just running around and blasting people w/o a care for what my team is doing besides some objective. A lot of maps I've had the ability to run around the enemy and sneak up on them, but it leads to me being out of action for around 20-30~ seconds sometimes depending on the map. Most people just don't turn around and I can walk up right behind them and get a 3 shuriken headshot on them. Is this just something that only works because I'm low elo and will stop working eventually? I've had some sick POTGs that came from this playstyle.
Great guide, also what other dps heroes are good to play if you're a genji main. In other words, what is a good hero pool for genji ?

If you want a similair playstyle as to genji, the best hero would probably be echo. She has got the same playstyle but avoids genji´s biggest counters. Some might say tracer and other heroes but if you are struggling to play against a comp as genji, tracer would most likely not work as well. But echo is difficult to play as well.
Obviously you should also have one hitscan hero in your pool but if you are a true genji main like the rest of us, you just play as genji the whole game and get better :)

1:21 you mentioned that you can deal 242 damage from a dash - alt fire - Melee but that is not true, your math is wrong. A Dash does 50 damage, if all stars connect it does 27 and a melee does 30. So if you do some basic adding the total amount of damage you can deal is 107
