I would rather spray the whole defender and let the mud, filth get wet for few minutes and then start the pressure rinsing later, I wouldn't force the mud with pressure so much in the beginning.
I think I would have taken it down the local jetwash first or round to Reg's just to get all the mud off then back to yours for the rest
Some places won’t let you in if you have to much mud on the car. Because then they have to shut down and spray out the tunnel and tracks. I know, I work in a carwash. Sounds dumb, but it happens every winter at least once or twice.
I guess and he mentioned it. Jetwash facilities, not wash arch or tunnel. That's a totally different animal! ;-)

If customers go mudding before delivering the vehicle I just go to a touchless wash first. I definitely don't want to deal with a pile of mud in the wash bay.

Mud is a lot easier to clean that traffic film, just water alone in pressure washer will get most of it off

I bet you're wondering why you took that on. Hope you're not on a water meter. I would love to know what your Wife thought of the drive once you completed the mud transfer🤣
it wasnt so bad, I just blasted it to edge and scooped up all the heavy twigs and put in brown waste. I then made a mental note I would need to clean the drive better.. but it hammered it down all night and the next day the drive was pretty clean.
Pressure washing mud off of a vehicle my lesson with a lifted gmc Denali don’t do it. It will cause micro scratches and swirls rinse and soak it with water from the hose first no pressure in order to soften the dirt/mud that has debris in it rocks sand etc. once the majority of it comes off. Then proceed with your normal pressure wash and detail.
Maybe better pressure washing on grass side?

I am looking to get a power washer for washing my cars.
i think 180 bar max although Im not sure it achaives this mate.. I use a 40 orrafice size or it pulses.

no its not the machine puts out 185 bar. so much I turn it down to middle setting.

Its always smarter to wash on your grass, that way all the mud isnt left on your driveway.
no that would be dumb, if I drive this 4x4 on my grass in winter it will rip up my lawn. plus my feet get plastered in mud the grass gets sodden in detergerent, and my foot stool sinks into the mud. plus you can see my front lawn is not wide enough to hold the car. plus a million other reasons. I wash it on the driveway and it took a whole 2 minutes to blast the mud to the edge. done. people try so hard to watch things and create problems which just dont exist.
@Forensic Unplugged I wasnt creating a problem. I didn't say you should move yours onto the grass. All I said was it's smarter to wash on grass. Thats so other people out there would do so to help themselves save water, its a water conservative move especially in the warmer seasons. Btw if you throw your 4x4 into low it wont shred your grass, you just let the vehicles idle speed which is typically 3-4 mph drive it off grass. Ive washed semis on grass and not caused rutts. I get you probably get tired of reading comments on this but the hostile reply wasn't necessary.

@@middknightdream1577 with this video especially the version on the main channel I got a tidal wave of comments about mud on the drive, and it really wasnt a big deal. so yer Im just like very salty about this subject I have a lot of history with this video and mud :) sorry yer it was first thing in the morning as well so I just went into bitch mode Ive had my cofee now :) thanks buddy.
