The penalties are basically in 2 categories, The minimum and Maximum. The Minimum penalties are for the 3 offences , these are offences under section 55,61,62 of the FIC Act, these offences are : not reporting transactions made out of / from the republic, Not having internal controls that ensure adherence to FICA and not training employees of the accountable institutions regarding FICA.. THESE are the ones that will lead to R1 million or 5 years .. ... then the rest of the offences are going to have R10 million or 15 years imprisonment .. hope this helps a bit.. check fica sections 40 - 62
