Wade, that’s an awesome idea to use to connect with your son! Coty, thank you for showing us more on this machine. I just sold my shapeoko so I can preorder. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos!
74 Creative American Design The more I use this machine the more impressed I am by it. I honestly had not thought of the ways this machine could benefit those who have limiting handicaps, being able to create via web interface.
Hello! I am ready to purchase my Onefinity CNC. The reality is that I have not seen anything better than this CNC, in this size and with the purpose that I want. I would like to know where they are located and if a visit is possible to talk about the software. I will appreciate your response, thank you, Carmen.
Its a machine language file that is produced after generating the toolpath. You will need CNC software to load your model and generate the toolpath, then the gcode file is made that the actual CNC machine understands. Hope that helps.
Wow! I'm possibly switching from a Shapeoko to Onefinity so this came across my feed for reviews. Great teaching! But above all, the back story is incredible!
I AM A TOOL AND DIE MAKER FOR 44 YEARS I PROGRAM MORISIEKIS AND HAAS MACHINES. IN MY OPINION A TABLE MADE OF HARDWOOD WILL IMPROVE RIGIDITY AND FINISHES BY A LOT. ALWAYS CLIMB CUT YOUR FINISH CUTS IT WILL BE MORE ACCURATE AND ALSO A BETTER FINISH
I have had mine for little over 2 months (my first cnc as well) It has made me Look like i know what im doing. Have not broke a single bit yet. Dust boot has been getting abused though.
You answered one question I had, could other CNC programs make the g-code for this (like Carbide Create). Thank you, I am a very new to all of this (CNC/CAD) so learning all about it as I can.
Great Video, good explanation, machine looks sturdy and precise, BUT, that test piece was poor, is that all it can do ? Where can I see other examples of the output? How about moreof its 3d ability?
Not sponsored although they did give me the machine before production with the instructions to push the limits and tell us what to fix. Which is why I hung it on a wall and made cuts while is was hanging because I wanted to see if it would do it and it did. I wouldn't have been able to do that with the shapeokoxxl.
Lot of valid points. Still just hate the cords on the front. I say move the connector to the rear or option longer cables so we can route them as needed.
I would love to see how you design a project with shape and text and house you then after you upload it where you go from there. You touched in it super quickly but it's a major element that needs focused on for people like me considering your product over others I'm researching.
Danielle Lewandowski the OneFinity doesn’t have its own software so it’s not limited by the software you use. So if you find a software like Vetric or any other you like, you can learn it and putting it in the machine is easy. The reason I didn’t go too much in to that is because this is the beta machine and the production machine looks different so would look different. Once the production model is out Myself or another will show that off for people. I hope this helped answer your request and thank you for watching
Thanks for the video. Limit switches? Do you mind creating a video of the homing routine? Can you control the look ahead and the tool lead on/off features in the software? Thanks Coty Best regards, Cody
Hey Question? If you flipped it so it was running long ways, can you pass a full 4x8 sheet through and then slide the sheet in? I need to do a bunch of white acrylic to fit in channel letters and I dont want to have to chop saw it down?
I have to confess, when I first discovered the OneFinity I was bummed! I've been using a Shapeoko XL now for about a year and have had issues. Particularly around alignment when flipping stock to cut/router on the back side of a work piece (I make solid body electric guitars). And issues with accurate depth cutting. I suspect, rightly or wrongly, that part of my problem is the slight inaccuracies that are inherent in belt driven systems. There are so many variables to consider on my current unit like eccentric nuts, v-wheels, belt tension (which are also subject to stretching over time), squareness of the machine, swelling and variations in the supplied MDF wasteboard. If I were to consider purchasing a OneFinity it would be more expense (even if I sell my Shapeoko - assuming one can find a buyer), and I don't know whether ball screws and steel linear shafts are 'THE' thing that will correct some of my problems with the Shapeoko. What are your thoughts on this since using the OneFinity?
@@bigrndahouse Oddly enough, I'm looking at MillRight too - the Power Route to be specific. Not many reviews of it on RUclips however. I found one ringing endorsement and another who would not recommend.
@@bigrndahouse Yes I have, and I have considered it. I like that there are two stepper motors and ball screws on the Y-axis (a master on one side and a slave motor on the right side). I think the rationale is here that it keeps the gantry perfectly square at all times. The MillRight, by contrast has only one motor and ball screw drive right up the middle . . . . it apparently uses some kind of 'racking' or high-tensions cable system underneath the table to help keep the gantry square throughout it's movement range. All that said, I work off a Mac platform for both CAD and CAM. Avid CNC machines are run by a controller called Mach3 (or 4). And these are PC/Windows only systems. So if I were to go this route I'd also have to purchase a PC laptop and Windows adding to my cost. Would prefer to stay in the Mac environment if I can.
Maryanto Hansen I can only speak on the Shapeoko because I own one. It is way better the fact I can send Goode via my network is very cool. Also setup is a breeze compared to the Shapeoko
what i dont understand is by spending 2,000. for basic infinity we do not get a router with it, while all the other cnc machines that you can other a router comes with it, this is not right. plus the wait to get one of these is more than 10 weeks.
Take a look at the build quality of this machine vs the "other guys". Rigid, super strong, no flexing. Its what you ideally want for this type of CNC work. The router is the cheap part.
Thank you for a great video. I'm super new, is there anyone who can help me with a couple of Q's? TY in advance. :) I want to do 3D milling, both wood and soft metal. With the right bits, can I do both, and secondly, can I hook a computer to this and use any of the free software thats' out there for this purpose?

What if I want to pause during a carve , say for overnight ? Thx
Hi I went on the website to email info on ordering. Won’t let me send. This looks like the best overall cnc .
Thanks.

Joel it’s not wide enough for 4’ wide material. But you could rip the sheet width down and do what your wanting
Could you do granite with this for grave? Like engrave names.
Haven't tried but it's rigid enough that with the right bit and feed rate you could
